The Computer Programming Program is an associate degree program designed to meet the need for qualified intermediate personnel in the IT sector. The Computer Programming Program of Isparta Applied Sciences University, Technical Sciences Vocational School aims to train computer technicians who have the knowledge and skills required by the profession, such as performing basic programming steps, creating data structures, developing applications, using current office software effectively, working with computer networks while considering information security, database design and management, software testing and troubleshooting.

The program has 1 computer program with 30 computers in Block A and 2 computer programs with 40 computers in Block B of Isparta University of Applied Sciences Vocational School of Technical Sciences.

• To have knowledge and skills in a field that is built on the competencies gained in general or vocational secondary education and supported by courses-practice tools and equipment above the secondary education level, and to demonstrate that he/she has grasped the basic concepts in that field.

• To be able to effectively define, collect and use the data required for the solution of well-defined problems in the field of Computer Technologies and Programming; to demonstrate that he/she can use the necessary theoretical knowledge, manual and/or mental skills in practical applications.

• To be able to clearly explain designs and applications related to the field of Computer Technologies and Programming to his/her colleagues, superiors and the individuals and groups he/she serves and to be able to work in a team.

• To demonstrate that he/she can learn independently in the field of Computer Technologies and Programming and apply what he/she has learned.

• To demonstrate that he/she has gained the ability to determine problems related to unforeseen situations and seek solutions in studies related to the field of Computer Technologies and Programming.

• To objectively evaluate and supervise the performances of those working under his/her responsibility.

• To have sufficient foreign language knowledge in the field.

• To be able to use the software and hardware required by his/her profession along with basic computer usage knowledge.

• To have knowledge and awareness of social responsibility, ethical values ​​and social security rights in the field.

• To have knowledge and awareness of work safety, worker health and environmental protection in the field.

• To be aware of Atatürk's Principles and have knowledge of the History of the Revolution.

These are the basic competencies that all individuals need to have, which are required by the information society and support their individual development within the framework of lifelong learning, their social participation in society as effective and responsible individuals, and their employability. (1) The success grade of a course in units is determined according to the relative evaluation method determined by the Senate. According to the relative evaluation method, in order to determine the success grade of a student in a course, first of all, the raw grade is calculated by taking into account the contributions of the midterm exam, other educational activities, if any, and the midterm/end-of-year exams, as in the absolute evaluation method. In this evaluation method, the raw grade is accepted as a 100 out of 100. For all students, the raw grades out of 100 are adapted to the letter system or 4-point system accepted by the Senate, taking into account the general success level of the class, the distribution of grades, the class average and/or standard deviation.

(2) If only a midterm exam is given in this evaluation, the contribution of the midterm exam to the success grade is 40%, and the contribution of the grade received from the midterm/end-of-year exam to the success grade is 60%.

(3) If homework, projects, applications and similar mid-term studies have been carried out in addition to mid-term exams, the contribution of mid-term exams and activities to the success grade is 50%, and the contribution of the grade received from the mid-term/end-of-year exam to the success grade is 50%.

(4) In calculating the letter grade of the course in which a make-up exam is held, the grades of the student's mid-term exams and studies are taken into account in the same way, and the make-up exam grade replaces the mid-term/end-of-year exam grade.

(5) The letter grade of the course in which a make-up exam is held is determined in accordance with the provisions of the University Relative Evaluation Directive.

(6) The letter grade received in the make-up exam is valid and replaces the previous letter grade. If a student who requests to take the make-up exam through the student information system cannot take the make-up exam due to an excuse and documents his/her excuse, the previous letter grade will be valid with the decision of the relevant unit's board of directors. If the student does not take the make-up exam of the course he/she failed (FF, FD), the previous letter grade will be valid.

(7) In units with compulsory internship courses in education programs, the implementation and evaluation of the internship course is carried out according to the principles determined by the Senate and the relevant boards.

(8) Exam evaluation principles are organized according to the principles determined by the Senate in preparatory classes.

b) Of these;

1) Passing grades are; AA, BA, BB, CB and CC grades. A student who receives one of these grades is considered to have passed that course. Students who successfully complete the internship course are given a G (passing) grade.

2) Conditional passing grades are; DC and DD grades. A student who has received one of these grades is considered to have passed the course if their GPA is at least 2.00.

3) Failing grades are K, FD and FF grades. Students who fail internship courses are given a K (fail) grade.

4) NA grade is given to students who do not fulfill their attendance requirements. NA grade is processed as (FF) grade in GPA calculation.

5) M (exempt); a mark given for courses that have been taken and passed before and whose equivalence is approved by the relevant board of directors upon the recommendation of the relevant department head.

In order to monitor the quality of higher education programs;

● YÖK is responsible for planning, organizing, managing and supervising the education and training and other activities carried out in higher education institutions.

● “University Monitoring and Evaluation Reports” of higher education institutions prepared within the framework of criteria determined by YÖK are published every year. The reports prepared according to these reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of higher education institutions, are also shared with the public by YÖK.

● YÖK publishes the “Foundation Higher Education Institutions Report” containing academic, administrative and financial data of foundation higher education institutions every year. These reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of foundation higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK. The quality assurance of associate degree programs in higher education is provided according to the “Procedures and Principles for Providing Quality Assurance of Higher Education Diploma Programs”:

1. Creation and Approval of Curriculum:

1.1. YÖK determines the minimum standards and criteria required for opening associate degree departments and programs in higher education institutions.

1.2. The curriculum of associate degree programs in higher education institutions and the learning outcomes that each diploma program will provide to the student are determined by the senates of higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

1.3. The curriculum of National Core Education Programs is implemented by higher education institutions with the approval of YÖK.

2. Measurement-Evaluation: How the measurement and evaluation of the learning outcomes that each associate degree program will provide to the student will be carried out is carried out in accordance with the education and examination regulations prepared by higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

3. Certification: Students enrolled in associate degree programs receive an associate degree diploma if they successfully complete the course credits and other obligations determined by higher education institutions.

4. Self-Assessment-External Assessment: In the context of continuous monitoring, higher education institutions enter the “Internal Institutional Assessment Reports” of the previous year into the Information System prepared by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) at the beginning of each year. YÖKAK shares the “Institutional Feedback Report” prepared for the external assessment of higher education institutions with the public. In addition, accreditation decisions made by accreditation institutions authorized or recognized by YÖKAK also show that the quality assurance of the program qualifications is provided. YÖKAK conducts regular review activities regarding the qualifications determined in accordance with its legislation.

To be placed in the relevant associate degree program of the higher education institution as a result of the central examination conducted by the Evaluation, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), the procedures and principles of which are determined by YÖK.
