Examination Regulation, Assessment and Evaluation:

In this program, examinations and assessments are conducted based on the "Trakya University Associate and Undergraduate Education-Teaching and Examination Regulation." In undergraduate programs at our university, besides the midterm exams, students are also evaluated through their assignments, projects, presentations, fieldwork, and internships. Apart from midterm exams, a final exam is held. At the beginning of each semester, instructors explain the assessment systems and the respective weightings to the students. Midterm and final exams are held on dates determined by the senate, and the exam schedules are announced to the students 15 days in advance. The assessment of grades is conducted as follows:

(a) Midterm Grade is calculated taking into account the midterm exams/tests, research assignments, projects, and other activities related to the course's teaching and learning.

(b) Raw Achievement Grade is obtained by adding 30% of the midterm grade to 70% of the final exam grade for the semester or year. The raw achievement grade is calculated out of 100 full marks based on the midterm grade and the semester/year-end exam results.

(c) Achievement Grade is calculated according to the assessment system outlined in the Trakya University Absolute Assessment Directive. "60" is considered the absolute passing grade. Based on the assessment of the achievement grade, the student's success is determined as follows: A student who receives grades AA, BA, BB, CB, or CC in a course is considered to have passed that course. A student who receives grades DC or DD in a course is considered to have passed that course with the condition of reaching a GPA of 2.50 at the graduation stage. Students' success statuses are monitored based on the semester GPA (SGPA) for the courses completed in the semester and the cumulative GPA (CGPA) for all courses taken. A student whose CGPA is at least 2.50 at the end of the semester or academic year is considered successful.

In the absolute assessment method, the coefficients for letter grades are determined according to the following table:

Score out of 100                        Letter Grade                  Coefficient

                      90-100                                  AA                           4.00

                       80-89                                   BA                           3.50

                       70-79                                   BB                           3.00

                       65-69                                   CB                           2.50

                       60-64                                   CC                           2.00

                       50-59                                   DD                           1.50

                       30-49                                   FD                           1.00

                         0-29                                   FF                            0.00

The latest grade obtained from repeated courses is included in the cumulative grade point average. All grades are recorded on the student's transcript.

In this program, the student must complete a total of 148 credits and 155 hours, including 141 theoretical and 14 practical credits, and achieve a minimum of 240 ACTS/ECTS credits. To graduate from this program, the student must have a weighted grade point average of at least 2.25 out of 4.00 and pass all courses. The student must pass all courses in the program. The latest grade obtained from repeated courses is included in the cumulative grade point average. All grades are recorded on the student's transcript.
