For every course, assessment and evaluation methods are defined in the course syllabus by the responsible academic personnel. Dicle University Undergraduate Academic and Examination legislation is applied regarding the examinations and assigned grade points for every course. To complete all the courses in the program (240 ECTS) and achieve a minimum GPA of 2.00 out of 4.00 are the required rules to qualify for graduation.

Students acceptance, registration, exam and evaluation procedures are conducted based on the Higher Education Law and the regulations and decisions put forth by The Higher Education Council based on this law.At Dıcle University, student acceptance and registration procedures are handled by the Student Registrar Office. These exams are conducted by the Measurement, Evaluation, and Placement Center (OSYM in Turkish). More information about the exams can be obtained from the http://www.osym.gov.tr/ web site. The first level examination is called the “Higher Education Entrance Examination” (YGS in Turkish), which is a common and single session exam. All students who finished high school successfully and wish to continue higher education must take the YGS, which is designed to measure students competency to continue higher education. Those who get at least 180 points and above from the YGS earn the right to enter the “Undergraduate Placement Examination” (LYS in Turkish). Those students who receive sufficient points from the “Turkish - Mathematics 2” section of the LYS earn the right to enter the Primary Education Program.

Graduates of the Primary Education Program receive the “Classroom Teacher” title and they can work at state or private schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education. Our graduates also find jobs at private training centers, companies that develop and market educational materials, publishing companies, and universities for an academic career.
