• Defines the basic structure, development and normal mechanisms of the human in terms of molecules, cells, tissues, organs and systems.

Students must attend classes, practices and examinations. Exams, assessment and evaluation are done according to the regulations issued by the University Senate. The first three years of medical education is theoretical, and the last three years are based on internship. In the first three years, practical and theoretical exams are carried out at the end of each committee, as well as final exams at the end of each year. Notes are assessed out of 100. Notes are assessed by taking 60% of end of committee exams, and 40% of final exams. Students need to average at least a 60 out of 100 points at the end of the year to pass. In the fourth and fifth years, an exam is performed at the end of each internship. These practical, and theoretical exams can be conducted as oral, written or both. The student needs to score at least 60 points in end of internship or make-up exams to be considered successful. The sixth educational year is a whole 12-month period, which requires the students to conduct clinic, polyclinic, laboratory, and fieldwork under the supervision of a professor, and an academic. There’s no exam for the sixth year. The student’s final score is evaluated as successful or unsuccessful based on the score system under Ordu University Faculty of Medicine Examination Regulation’s article 20.

High School Diploma and placement through a centralized national university placement examination arranged by OSYM (Higher Education Council Student Selection and Placement Center) are required to admit the Faculty of Medicine.

The title of Doctor of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine graduates of public and private institutions have the opportunity to find a job as a general practitioner. Medical Specialization Examination has an opportunity to continue their education by entering expertise in any field. After this training earn the title of Specialist Physicians. Universities are also relevant areas of the PhD programs Master's degree are eligible to apply.
