• The undergraduate program in Physical Education and Sports Teaching  is an academically oriented program designed to provide graduates with advanced knowledge, skills, and competencies required for professional practice, research areas, and transition to master's and doctoral programs. Graduates who successfully complete this program are expected to:\n- Be proficient in contemporary learning and teaching theories.\n- Stay updated with innovations in their field.\n- Possess critical thinking, effective communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.\n- Adhere to ethical values in education.\n- Identify and solve problems in the field of physical education.

• Education and training are offered within the Faculty of Sport Sciences through formal, open, or distance learning methods. Classes are conducted in the faculty's laboratories, sports halls, swimming pools, gymnastics halls, and classrooms. Additionally, there are opportunities for teaching practice courses and internships in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education.

• Writes entrepreneurial scientific projects in national or international fields and brings innovative solutions to sports-related problems with an interdisciplinary approach.
• Gains the ability to study concepts and theories in physical education and sports using scientific and technological methods, analyze data, and use tools suitable for the teaching process.
• Acquires the ability to use innovative methods in achieving teaching goals in physical education and sports, develop functional tools, and follow and utilize technological advancements.
• Develops the skill to use information technology, scientific research methods, and techniques in professional development applications.
• Understands teaching methods with the knowledge and skills acquired within and across disciplines and develops the ability to plan, conduct, and evaluate a specific lesson independently.
• Applies different learning approaches based on students' developmental characteristics and enhances this skill through courses from various disciplines.
• Understands the Turkish National Education system, the teaching profession, its responsibilities, and methods for understanding students through both in-discipline and interdisciplinary courses.
• Solves problems related to the field of physical education and sports and develops awareness of legal and professional ethical values.
• Provides feedback by interpreting the application, measurement, and evaluation processes and results aimed at determining students' physical and athletic development.
• Collaborates with the community regarding issues related to physical education, sports, and other disciplines, gaining the ability to establish supportive interactions.
• Gains effective communication and reporting skills in spoken and written Turkish and can communicate in at least one foreign language.
• Attains adequate knowledge in physical education and sports sciences, their respective fields, and pedagogical foundations, along with the skills to acquire and teach theoretical and practical knowledge and concepts throughout life.

Measurement and evaluation methods and their contribution to course success grades are determined by the senates of higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) on these issues. Homework, project, application, midterm exam, make-up exam and final exam methods are used for measurement and evaluation. Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Associate-Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulation is used in the evaluation of student success. A student from a course;

a) If he/she has received one of the grades (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB) or (CC), he/she is considered to have passed that course.

b) If he/she has received one of the grades (DC) or (DD) and his/her GPA is 2.00 and above, he/she is considered to have passed conditionally.

c) If he/she has received one of the grades (DC) or (DD) and his/her GPA is below 2.00, he/she is considered to have failed conditionally.

ç) If he/she has received one of the grades (FD) and (FF), he/she is considered to have failed.

d) If the class attendance requirement is not met, it is considered as absent (DS).

e) In the absence and success evaluations of non-credit courses and internships; (YE) is considered sufficient, (YS) is considered insufficient, (DS) is considered absent. f) If a student takes an exam that he/she does not deserve to take, the grade he/she receives is cancelled.

To oversee the quality of higher education programs;

- YÖK is responsible for planning, organizing, managing and supervising education and training and other activities in higher education institutions.

- "University Monitoring and Evaluation Reports" of higher education institutions prepared within the framework of the criteria determined by YÖK are published every year. The reports prepared according to these reports, including quantitative and qualitative evaluations of higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK.

- "Foundation Higher Education Institutions Report" containing academic, administrative and financial data of foundation higher education institutions is published annually by CoHE. These reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of foundation higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK. Quality assurance of undergraduate programs in higher education is ensured according to the "Procedures and Principles for Ensuring Quality Assurance of Higher Education Diploma Programs":

1. Creation and Approval of Curricula: YÖK determines the minimum standards and criteria required for the opening of undergraduate departments and programs in higher education institutions.

1.1. The curriculum of undergraduate programs in higher education institutions and the learning outcomes that each program will provide to the student are determined by the senates of higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

1.2. The curricula of the National Core Curricula are adopted by the relevant Council of Deans and implemented by higher education institutions with the approval of the Council of Higher Education.

2. Assessment and Evaluation: The measurement and evaluation of the learning outcomes of each undergraduate program is carried out according to the teaching and examination regulations prepared by higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

3. Certification: Students enrolled in undergraduate programs, if they successfully complete the course credits and other obligations determined by higher education institutions; receive a bachelor's diploma.

4. Self-Assessment-External Evaluation: Higher education institutions, in the context of continuous monitoring, enter the "Institutional Internal Evaluation Reports" of the previous year into the Information System prepared by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) at the beginning of each year. YÖKAK shares the "Institutional Feedback Report" prepared for the external evaluation of higher education institutions with the public. In addition, accreditation decisions issued by accreditation bodies authorized or recognized by YÖKAK also indicate that the quality assurance of the qualifications of the programs is ensured. YÖKAK conducts regular review activities regarding the qualifications determined in accordance with the legislation.

• High school or equivalent school diploma. Adequate score in the university student selection exam. Success in the special talent exam.

The aim of the undergraduate program in Physical Education and Sports is to train physical education teachers who are well-equipped in sports, physical education, pedagogical formation, and general culture, and who can effectively utilize this knowledge in teaching physical education and sports. Graduates who meet the necessary requirements can pursue postgraduate education. Additionally, students have the opportunity to obtain Level 1 and Level 2 coaching certificates related to the courses in their undergraduate program, allowing them to secure employment in various sports fields. Graduates also have the opportunity to advance their coaching certification levels.
