- Toplumda beslenme problemlerinin saptanması ve çözümüne yönelik öneriler sunabilme becerisi kazanır.
- Bireylerin gereksinimine uygun beslenme programları hazırlama becerisi kazanır .
- Sağlığın korunması ve çeşitli hastalıkların tedavisi için diyet programları hazırlama becerisi kazanır.
- Toplu beslenme hizmeti veren kurumlarda yemek servisi hizmetini yönetebilme becerisi kazanır.
- Toplum sağlığının korunması ve geliştirilmesi için gerekli araştırma-geliştirme çalışmalarını yapabilme becerisi kazanır.
- Bağımsız çalışabilme ve insiyatif alabilme becerisi kazanır .

- Her ders için ara sınav ve yarıyıl sonu sınavına tabi tutulurlar. Başarı notuna, ara sınavın katkısı %40, yarıyıl sonu sınavının katkısı %60 şeklindedir. Tüm sınavlar 100 puan üzerinden değerlendirilir. Yarıyıl sonu sınavından en az 45 puan alma zorunluluğu vardır. Bir dersten AA, BA, BB, CB ve CC harf notlarından birini alan öğrenciler o dersi başarmış sayılır.
- Ayrıca, bir yarıyıla ait not ortalaması en az 2.00 olan öğrenciler, DC harf notu aldıkları derslerden de başarılı sayılır. Öğrenciler, her yarıyılın sonunda, o yarıyıla ait en çok iki dersten bütünleme sınavına girebilir. Her ders için uygulanan ölçme ve değerlendirme yöntemi “Ders Bilgi Form’larında açıklanmıştır. Mezuniyet koşullarındaki kurallar geçerlidir.
Öğrenci Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi (ÖSYM) tarafından yapılan ÖSYS sınavından başarılı olmak gerekir
- Bu program mezunları kamu ve özel kuruluşlarda “Diyetisyen” olarak görev yapmaktadır.
- Sağlık Bakanlığı hastaneleri, üniversite hastaneleri, özel sağlık kuruluşları ve beslenme ve diyet merkezlerinde görev yapabilirler.
