Ölçme ve değerlendirme yöntemleri; sınav çeşitleri ve bunların ders başarı notuna katkısı, bu konularda Yükseköğretim Kurulu’nun (YÖK) belirlediği temel ilkelere uygun olarak yükseköğretim kurumlarının senatoları tarafından belirlenir. 2. Ölçme ve değerlendirmede ödev, proje, uygulama, ara sınav ve dönem sonu sınavı gibi farklı yöntemler kullanılır. 3. Öğrenci başarısının değerlendirilmesinde harf ve/veya rakama dayalı not verme sistemleri kullanılır. Bağıl değerlendirme sistemine göre bir öğrencinin bir dersten başarı notu, o derse ait yarıyıl içi çalışmalarında gösterdiği başarı düzeyi ve yarıyıl sonu veya bütünleme sınavında aldığı not birlikte değerlendirilerek sınıfın başarı düzeyine göre belirlenir. Bağıl değerlendirme olarak anılacak bu değerlendirme, dersi veren öğretim elemanı tarafından, notların istatistiksel dağılımı ve sınıf ortalaması göz önünde bulundurularak yapılır. Yükseköğretimde lisans programlarının kalite güvencesi “Yükseköğretim Diploma Programlarının Kalite Güvencesinin Sağlanmasına Yönelik Usul ve Esaslar” a göre sağlanır: 1. Öğretim Programlarının Oluşturulması ve Onaylanması: 1.1. YÖK, yükseköğretim kurumlarında lisans bölüm ve programların açılması için gerekli olan asgari standart ve ölçütleri YÖK belirler. 1.2. Yükseköğretim kurumlarında lisans programlarının müfredatı ve her bir programın öğrenciye kazandıracağı öğrenme kazanımlarının neler olacağı, YÖK’ün bu konularda belirlediği temel ilkelere uygun olarak yükseköğretim kurumlarının senatoları tarafından belirlenir. 1.3. Programın amacı Esnek hesaplamalar, Veri Madenciliği, Zeki Sistemler, Bulanık Mantık, Bulanık Kümeler, Optimizasyon gibi güncel bilim teknolojilerini bilimsel olarak araştıracak ve geliştirecek, bunları uygulamada kullanabilecek mezunlar vermektir.
Öğrenme örgün öğretim şeklinde gerçekleşir. Ayrıca; uygulamalı eğitimler yükseköğretim kurumları bünyesindeki laboratuvar ve atölyelerde ya da endüstride, sağlık kurumlarında ve iş yerlerinde staj veya iş yeri eğitimi olarak yapılmaktadır.
- Bilgisayar Bilimleri konularında temel kavram, terminoloji ve teknik bilgilere sahip olma, temel teorik ve uygulama yöntemleri hakkında bilgilere sahiptir.

Yükseköğretim programlarının niteliğinin gözetilmesi için;
- YÖK, yükseköğretim kurumlarında gerçekleştirilen eğitim ve öğretimle diğer faaliyetlerin planlanması, düzenlenmesi, yönetilmesi ve denetiminden sorumludur.
- YÖK tarafından belirlenen kriterler çerçevesinde her yıl hazırlanan yükseköğretim kurumlarına ait “Üniversite İzleme ve Değerlendirme Raporları” yayımlanır. Bu raporlara göre hazırlanan, yükseköğretim kurumlarına yönelik nicel ve nitel değerlendirmeleri içeren raporlarda YÖK tarafından kamuoyu ile paylaşılır.
- YÖK tarafından her yıl vakıf yükseköğretim kurumlarına ait akademik, idari ve mali verileri içeren “Vakıf Yükseköğretim Kurumları Raporu” yayımlanır. Vakıf yükseköğretim kurumlarına yönelik yapılan nicel ve nitel değerlendirmeleri içeren bu raporlar YÖK tarafından kamuoyu ile paylaşılır.

1. Assessment and evaluation methods; exam types and their contribution to lecture's final grade, are determined by senates of higher education institutions in line with fundamental principles determined by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
2. Assignments, projects, application, midterms and final exams are used for assessment and evaluation.
3. Letter grade or score-based systems are applied while evaluating student's achievement.
According to the relative evaluation system, a student's success grade in a course is determined according to the success level of the class by evaluating the success level of the semester studies for that course and the grade he received in the final or make-up exam. This evaluation, which will be referred to as relative evaluation, is made by the instructor teaching the course, taking into account the statistical distribution of grades and the class average. At the end of the relative evaluation, each student is given a grade of success, expressed in letters indicating the degree of success, by the instructor teaching the course. The degrees of success and coefficients expressed by the success grades are shown in the table below.

A student who receives one of the AA, BA, BB, CB, CC, DC, DD grades from a course is deemed to have succeeded that course.
Moreover; Y (Unsatisfactory), B (Pass), M (Exempt) grades are grades that are not included in the average, and D (Absentee), E (Incomplete) grades are temporary grades;
a) D grade is given to students who do not have the right to take the exam because they do not fulfill their attendance obligations or conditions regarding course practices, and is treated as (FF) grade in the grade point average calculation.
b) Grade B is given to students who are successful in courses that are not included in their grade point average.
c) Y grade is given to students who fail to succeed in courses that are not included in their grade point average.
In order to supervise the quality of higher education programmes;
• YÖK is responsible of planning, organising, managing and supervising higher education institution's educational and other activities. YÖK prepares "University Monitoring and Evaluation Reports" within its own criteria and publishes these reports annually. YÖK prepares reports that include qualitative and quantitative evaluations of higher education institutions in accordance with these annual reports and shares them with general public.
• The "Foundation Higher Education Institutions Report", which includes academic, administrative and financial data of foundation higher education institutions, is published by YÖK annually. These reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations made for foundation higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK.
Quality assurance of undergraduate programs in higher education is provided according to "Procedures and Principles for Quality Assurance of Higher Education Diploma Programmes":
1. Establishment and Approval of Curricula 1.1. In higher education institutions, the curriculum of undergraduate programmes and the learning outcomes each program will bring to the student are determined by the senates of higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.
1.2. After the curriculum of National Core Education Programmes is accepted by the relevant Deans Council, it is implemented by higher education institutions with the approval of YÖK.
YÖK determines the minimum standards and criteria required to open undergraduate programmes in higher education institutions.
2. Assessment and Evaluation: How to measure and evaluate the learning outcomes that each undergraduate programme will bring to the student is carried out in accordance with the teaching and examination regulations prepared by higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK.
3. Certification: Students enrolled in undergraduate programmes who successfully complete the course credits and other obligations determined by higher education institutions; receive an undergraduate diploma.
4. Self Evaluation-External Evaluation: In the context of continuous monitoring, higher education institutions enter the "Internal Evaluation Reports" of the previous year into the Information System prepared by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) at the beginning of each year. YÖKAK shares the "Institutional Feedback Report" prepared for the external evaluation of higher education institutions. In addition, the accreditation decisions made by the accreditation bodies authorized or recognized by YÖKAK also show that the quality of programmes' qualifications is assured. YÖKAK carries out regular review activities regarding the qualifications determined in accordance with its legislation.
