Further Info | (1) During a semester, for each class the students are given at least one mid-term and one final exam. The instructor can assess assignments, projects, laboratory, and likewise studies as a mid-term exam. Generally the final exam has to be a written exam. In special circumstances an oral or oral-verbal exam can be conducted by the approval of the board of directors of the relevant faculty/vocational school. For scoring final grades, all examination scores and other semester studies are taken into account.(2) For calculating the final grades of students, final exam’s the percentage cannot be under 40% nor more than 60%. Studies within the semester and final examination’s percentage on final grade are announced to students at the beginning of the semester. Computer Engineering Ph.D programme consists of 8 courses with a total of 24 credits, a graduate seminar, Ph.D qualifying exam, thesis proposal and and a Ph. D thesis study. The students who complete all the courses (240 ECTS) in the registered programme with success within the regulations of the code; whose GPA is equal to or above 3.00; who complete the minimum number of required credit of the registered programme have a right to get a diploma. | |

Access Requirements | Admission of students to the Ph.D. in Computer Engineering is carried out according to Doğuş University Graduate Education-Examination and Examination Regulations. The language of instruction is Turkish.General acceptance conditions for students are given below:Having received the minimum achievement score from one of the following examsALESGraduate: 55 (Numerical); (Applicants should not be older than five years on the date of application.)Undergraduate degree: 80 (Numerical); (Applicants should not be older than five years on the date of application.)• Students enrolled in graduate programs without thesis or graduated before 6.2.2013 may apply for a programa.It is compulsory to take a score equal to at least 55 points from the international foreign language exams accepted as equivalent to the central foreign language exams approved by the Higher Education Council except for their mother tongue in the doctoral program and from international foreign language exams which are accepted as equivalent by ÖSYM.Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems Engineering and equivalent programs. Students from other Engineering departments can apply for this program. Students who come from other branches and are accepted to the program have to complete the scientific preparation program.The graduate must have a GPA of at least 3.00 / 4.00 in the last program (undergraduate / graduate).To be successful in the interview of my department.The selection of candidates will be 50% for ALES, 10% for the graduate grade and 40% for the interview. | |
