1.         The methods of measurement and evaluation, types of exams, and their contribution to the course success grade are determined by the Senate of Istanbul Gedik University in accordance with the fundamental principles set by the Higher Education Council (YÖK).

2.         Different methods such as assignments, projects, practicals, mid-term exams, and final exams are used in measurement and evaluation.

3.         Letter-based grading systems are used in evaluating student performance.

In order to ensure the quality of higher education programs:

•           YÖK (The Council of Higher Education) is responsible for the planning, organization, management, and supervision of education, teaching, and other activities in higher education institutions.

•           "University Monitoring and Evaluation Reports," which are prepared annually for higher education institutions within the framework of criteria determined by YÖK, are published. These reports, which include both quantitative and qualitative evaluations of higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK.

•           YÖK publishes the "Private Higher Education Institutions Report" annually, which contains academic, administrative, and financial data on private higher education institutions. The reports, including both quantitative and qualitative evaluations of private higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK.

The quality assurance of associate degree programs in higher education is ensured according to the "Procedures and Principles for Ensuring the Quality Assurance of Higher Education Diploma Programs":

1.         Creation and Approval of Teaching Programs: 1.1. YÖK determines the minimum standards and criteria necessary for the establishment of associate degree departments and programs in higher education institutions. 1.2. The curriculum of associate degree programs and the learning outcomes to be achieved by students in each diploma program are determined by the senates of higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles set by YÖK. 1.3. The curriculum of National Core Education Programs is implemented by higher education institutions with YÖK’s approval.

2.         Assessment and Evaluation: The assessment and evaluation of the learning outcomes that each associate degree program aims to achieve is carried out in accordance with the principles determined by YÖK, based on the education, teaching, and examination regulations prepared by higher education institutions.

3.         Certification: Students enrolled in associate degree programs are awarded an associate degree diploma upon successfully completing the required course credits and other obligations specified by the higher education institutions.

4.         Self-Evaluation and External Evaluation: As part of continuous monitoring, higher education institutions enter their "Institutional Self-Evaluation Reports" for the previous year into the Information System prepared by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) at the beginning of each year. YÖKAK shares the "Institutional Feedback Report" it prepares on the external evaluation of higher education institutions with the public. Additionally, accreditation decisions made by accredited or recognized accreditation bodies authorized by YÖKAK also demonstrate that the programs meet the required quality assurance standards. YÖKAK carries out regular review activities regarding the qualifications specified by its regulations.

Computer Programming Program has been accredited by MEDEK (Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation Association).

• Graduating from a high school or an equivalent institution.
• Obtaining a sufficient score in the relevant score type from the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) conducted by ÖSYM.

• Graduates can transfer to 4-year bachelor's programs such as Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, and Management Information Systems through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).
• They can work in fields such as software development, web design, system administration, and data analysis in the business world.
• After graduation, they can enhance their expertise by participating in sector-specific certification programs.
