It is a higher education program based on secondary education qualifications, covering an eight-semester program and providing education for a specific learning field or profession.

On the other hand, applied nature education course takes place in the field in different ecosystems and habitats; In addition, our Compulsory Internship course is carried out in laboratories and workshops within higher education institutions or in industry, healthcare institutions and workplaces.

To help students understand how to use the information they received during their undergraduate education in Biology and to support their insufficient information skills.

• To provide students with the skills of collecting data related to problems in their field, designing experiments, conducting experiments and analyzing/interpreting them.

• To prepare students how to solve problems and  present their results in written, oral and electronic media.

• To prepare the student for the necessity of continuous development in his professional life and to provide him with the ability to improve himself.

• To provide the ability to adapt in individual and team work and the self-confidence to take responsibility.

• To gain the ability to know, develop and use at least one foreign language.

• Being able to access, evaluate, interpret and apply information by conducting scientific research while expanding and deepening the knowledge in the same or a different field, based on undergraduate degree qualifications.

• To be able to develop knowledge with scientific methods by using limited or incomplete data in the field and to use them with scientific, social and ethical responsibility.

• Being able to independently editing a problem in the field, develop a solution method, solve it, evaluate the results and apply it when necessary.

• To be able to systematically convey current developments in the field and one's own work to groups within and outside the field, in written, oral and visual formats.

• To be able to develop new strategic approaches and produce solutions by taking responsibility in unforeseen complex situations that will be encountered in the applications in the field.

• Having verbal and written communication skills in at least one foreign language

• To contribute to science by expanding the boundaries of knowledge in the field by publishing at least a part of an original study that brings innovation to science, develops a new scientific method, or applies a known method to a field, in national and/or international refereed journals.

In this program;

Different evaluation methods such as midterm exam, homework, exercise, project, final study, internship, practice and final exam are applied. Evaluation methods may include evaluations such as classical exam, multiple choice exam, homework, performance evaluation and presentation. The grade of a course is determined as a result of the evaluation of the above elements and is given as a letter grade. The contribution of the midterm exam to the success grade is 30% and the contribution of the final exam is 70%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points.

In order to graduate from our faculty, the student who completes a total of 240 ECTS must be successful by taking additional compulsory internship and applied nature education courses in the Biology department. At the end of the 4-year education period, students who have successfully completed all required courses and completed their total credits are awarded a bachelor's degree. Each student in our undergraduate programs must obtain at least 240 ECTS credits in order to complete the program and thus meet the necessary conditions for graduation. Of these credits, the student who will graduate must complete 240 ECTS credits, including at least 12 ECTS credits from university out-of-field elective courses, 66 ECTS from basic courses appropriate to the field, 99 ECTS from in-field basic courses, 51 ECTS from in-field elective courses and 12 ECTS from other basic courses. . They graduate provided that the student's overall GPA is at least 2.25 and above (letter grade is CC and above).

In order to monitor the quality of higher education programs;

• YÖK is responsible for planning, organizing, managing and supervising education, training and other activities in higher education institutions.

• "University Monitoring and Evaluation Reports" of higher education institutions, prepared within the framework of the criteria determined by YÖK, are published every year. Reports prepared according to these reports, containing quantitative and qualitative evaluations for higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK.

• The "Foundation Higher Education Institutions Report", which includes academic, administrative and financial data of foundation higher education institutions, is published every year by YÖK. These reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of foundation higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK. Quality assurance of undergraduate programs in higher education is provided according to the "Procedures and Principles for Providing Quality Assurance of Higher Education Diploma Programs":

1. Creation and Approval of Curriculum: YÖK determines the minimum standards and criteria required for the opening of undergraduate departments and programs in higher education institutions.

1.1. The curriculum of undergraduate programs in higher education institutions and the learning outcomes that each program will bring to the student are determined by the senates of higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

1.2. The curriculum of National Core Education Programs is implemented by higher education institutions with the approval of YÖK after being accepted by the relevant Council of Deans.

2. Measurement-Evaluation: How the learning outcomes that each undergraduate program will provide to the student will be measured and evaluated is carried out in line with the teaching and examination regulations prepared by higher education institutions in line with the basic principles determined by YÖK.

3. Certification: Students enrolled in undergraduate programs, if they successfully complete the course credits and other obligations determined by higher education institutions; receives a bachelor's degree.

4. Self-Evaluation-External Evaluation: In the context of continuous monitoring, higher education institutions enter the "Institution Internal Evaluation Reports" of the previous year into the Information System prepared by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) at the beginning of each year. The "Institutional Feedback Report" prepared by YÖKAK regarding the external evaluation of higher education institutions is shared with the public. In addition, accreditation decisions made by accreditation bodies authorized or recognized by YÖKAK also show that the quality assurance of the qualifications of the programs is ensured. It carries out regular review activities regarding the qualifications determined in accordance with the YÖKAK legislation.

Those who graduated from the biology program;

• conduct research on living things (experiment, observation, collection, statistics, protection, control, examination, test, diagnosis and evaluation).
• investigate and define the cause and effect relationships of factors affecting the development, evolution, heredity, physiology, ecology, conservation, diagnosis and classification of living things, their behavior and characteristics.
• conduct laboratory and field studies in Biology or specialized sub-branches of Biology. They carry the authority and responsibilities regarding these studies.
• While carrying out their studies, they use various biological, mathematical, physical and chemical methods and appropriate tools and equipment. The study results are applied in areas such as environment, health, production, education, technology and economy.
• Biologists serve in our country by taking on important responsibilities in vital issues such as environment, education, agriculture, forest, medicine, health and economy.
