• Detecting the problems related with biology, constructing hypothesis to solve these problems and developing the hypothesis by using various observational and experimental methods.
• To be qualified for obtaining, interpreting and publishing of the scientific data and considering ethical and scientific values in all participated activities.
• Comprehending the interdisciplinary interaction in which the field of biology is located; reaching original results by analysis and synthesis of information that requires advanced interpretation.
• Having the ability to communicate and discuss ideas in verbal and written forms systematically with colleagues in national and international platforms.
• Improving his/her knowledge with a novel vision and research and addition of values to scientific knowledge with the goal of pursuing the interests of his/her country.
• Improving the current and advanced knowledge from the biology field by implementing the qualities gained from Master´s education.
• To specialize in certain areas of biology and to be able to plan, produce and evaluate the results of a thesis.
• To be aware of social and universal impacts of scientific knowledge and applications and to be aware of the subjects of entrepreneurship and innovativenes.
• To be able to understand and contribute to the solution of social, scientific, cultural and ethical problems that are faced in the field of biology.
• To have verbal or written communication ability at least one foreign language(“European Language Portfolio Global Scale”, Level B2)-Be able to use and improve science and communication technology with computer writing and information of hardware

This section is explained in the courses description and implementation formsThe graduate program students throughout their education a total of 21 (60 ECTS) is not less than a minimum of seven courses, a seminar and thesis work must succeed. The students of Biology Program who meet the relevant requirements are awarded an MS degree. The course concerned in this note is to be successful, must be at least 70 out of 100.

The candidates applying to an MA programme should; 1) have graduate diplomas from related disciplines. 2) have required scores from the related parts of ALES (Academic Staff and Graduate Study Education Exam). 3) be successful in the interview administered by the Department. The graduates may work in the government; in related departments of universities to conduct scientific research and educational activities as a faculty member, a research assistant or a specialist, in research institutes, museums of natural history, botanic gardens, arboretums, national parks, water product plants, marine sciences research institutes, General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works, Turkish Standards Institution, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Ministry of Forestry and Hydraulic Works, Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning, The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK), zoos, treatment plants, customs control center and laboratory animals research labs. The graduates can work as teachers in private schools or schools under the regulation of The Ministry of National Education after meeting the qualifications of The Ministry of National Education. The graduates can work in pharmaceutical and medical companies, biotechnology firms, medical laboratories and food control laboratories in the private sector.
