- Bilimsel yöntemlerle biyoloji ile ilgili verileri kullanarak bilgi ve teoriyi geliştirebilme,
- Biyoloji konuları ile ilgili problemleri saptama, sentez yaparak problemlerin çözümüne yönelik hipotez kurma ve çeşitli gözlemsel ve deneysel yöntemler kullanarak hipotezi çözme becerisi kazanabilme,
- Biyoloji alanındaki uygulamalarda, evrensel ve toplumsal değerlere duyarlı, ülke çıkarlarını gözeten, araştıran, üreten, etik ve sorumluluk sahibi bireyler olabilme,
- Biyolojinin belli alanlarında özelleşerek araştırma projesi tasarlama, tez hazırlama ve sonuçların değerlendirilmesi konusunda yeterlilik kazanabilme,
