Öğrenciler her ders için en az bir ara sınav ve dönem sonu sınavına tabi tutulurlar. Öğrencilerden ara sınava mazereti sebebi ile katılamayanlar için ayrıca mazeret sınavı yapılmaktadır. Başarı notuna, ara sınav (ara sınav notu olarak ödev, laboratuvar sınavı, kısa süreli sınav gibi ölçme araçlarından elde edilen puanlar da değerlendirmeye alınabilir) etkisi % 40 yarıyıl sonu sınavının etkisi ise % 60 şeklindedir. Tüm değerlendirmeler 100 puan üzerinden yapılır. Bir dersten AA, BA, BB, CB ve CC harf notlarından birini alan öğrenci o dersi başarmış sayılır. DC ve DD notları şartlı başarılı notlardır. Öğrenci isterse not yükseltmek için sonraki dönem tekrar dersi almak koşulu ile sınava girebilir. Öğrencinin bir üst dönemden ders alabilmesi için genel ağırlıklı not ortalamasının 1.80 olması gerekir.
