Defines and explains basic concepts of Child Development. Explains the classical and modern theories about Child Development and states the differences and relatioship between them. Conceptualizes, analyzes and evaluates events and cases in the field of child development by using basic knowledge and skills. Explains the developmental characteristics and learning methods and techniques of normally developing children and children with a need of special education. Explains the relationship between the importance, purposes and principles of pre-school education. To undertake individual and group responsibility in order to solve nonforeseen complex problems and issues which are confronted in application process.Is aware of childhood diseases and takes measures aimed at protecting child health. Plans, creates and implements tools for class management and educative toys. Examines publications prepared for children, follows childrens literature and media aimed at children. Uses computer software and information and communication technologies as required by the field, implements computer-supported activities. Art and art education in the development of pre-school children to grasp their impact on childrens development. On the basic principles of first aid and basic life support to gain qualifications. Takes precautions against child neglect and abuse, follows practices on childrens rights and protection and cooperates. To maintain a positive attitude towards lifelong learning. To be act upon democracy, human rights, social, scientific and professional ethics. To have awareness of environment and job security.

Each student must attend classes, workshops, labs, projects, seminars, workshops, graduation projects and other studies during the period in which they are enrolled. Students who do not attend at least 40% of theoretical courses and 30% of laboratory studies are not allowed to take final exams from those courses. When the student shows the necessary participation in the theoretical courses, participation is not compulsory for this course if the course is to be taken again later.The exams are usually written. However, the instructor can make the examinations, projects and assignments verbally provided that he / she indicates in the course information form. The exams are held and organized by the instructors entering the course. The make-up exam is made by the students with the documented apologies within 1 (one) day after the final exam is over, after the inspection and acceptance of the relevant institution.

Students are admitted to the Child Development Program with the 2017 Higher Education Transition Examination (YGS), which is organized by the Center for Measurement, Selection and Placement (ÖSYM). Those who have a score of at least 150 and above from the relevant YGS score of 2017 are eligible to register if this program is placed within the quota of the 2017 Student Selection and Placement System (ÖSYS).

Graduates can work in the main classes of schools, kindergartens, playrooms in the childrens services of hospitals, rehabilitation centers.

Qualification is continuous.
