- Coğrafya disiplinlerine ait konularda uygulamalı çalışmalar yapabilme,
- Coğrafyada Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemlerinin önemini kavrayabilme ve uygulayabilme ,
- Coğrafya çalışmalarında temel bilgi teknolojileri, istatistik, kartografya gibi araç ve yöntemleri kullanabilme ve uygulayabilme,
- Çevre sorunlarını coğrafi bakış açısıyla yorumlayabilme ve çözüm önerileri getirebilme,
- Dünyada korumacılık, kalkınma gibi gündemde olan ve coğrafya ile iç içe geçmiş kavramları ulusal ve uluslararası boyutlarda analiz edebilme,
- Yeni Dünya düzeni çerçevesinde Türkiye ile birinci dereceden ekonomik ve kültürel ilişkileri olan ülkeleri tanıyabilme ve Türkiye’nin jeopolitik konumunu yorumlayabilme,
- Bireysel çalışma becerisi ve bağımsız karar verebilme yetisine sahip olarak fikirlerini sözlü ve yazılı ifade ederek iletişim kurabilme ,
- Mesleki ve etik sorumluluk bilincine sahip olarak tez hazırlayabilme
- Öğrencinin kayıtlandığı bir dersin sınavına girebilmesi için o derse en az %70 oranında devam etmesi gerekir.
- Yarıyıl sınav notu; ara sınav notunun % 40’ı, final sınavının % 60’ı alınarak hesaplanır.
- Yüksek lisans öğrenim programı zorunlu, seçmeli derslerden, seminerden oluşur ve nihayetinde yüksek lisans tezinden oluşur.
- Programa başvuru ve kabul koşulları her yıl Uşak Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü tarafından ilan edilir.
- Lisans mezunu olma ve ALES sınavından son 3 yıl içerisinde enstitünün belirlediği taban puanı almak zorunludur.
Yüksek lisans derecesi alan mezunlarımız; üniversitelerde akademisyen, kamu ve yerel yönetimlerin ilgili birimlerinde uzman olarak istihdam edilebilir.
