Access Requirements | Students are accepted to the graduate program by interview. The number of students to be admitted to graduate programs and the qualifications to be searched for candidate students are announced before the beginning of each semester. In this province, the application conditions and deadline date, the place and date of the candidates interviews are specified. Candidates must have a bachelors degree and at least 55 standard points on the relevant score type or ALES equivalent to 55 ALES points on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) administered by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) they must have a pooh. The degree of undergraduate diplomas taken abroad must be approved by the Higher Education Council (YÖK). Candidates; they will fill out the ALES certificates, the graduation diplomas, the success grades they have taken from the courses they have taken in the undergraduate courses, the approved documents indicating the graduation grade averages, the information about the other registration, and apply to the institute directorate together with the candidate number they provide. Registration of candidates is conducted and conducted by the relevant institute directorate. Candidates in the Turkish and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus who have completed the required application requirements are taken to the foreign language examination in the Foreign Language Department of the University. In order to be successful, a candidate must get a score of at least 70 out of 100 in this exam which is made in English language which is deemed valid at the Universities Council. However, candidates who have received at least 50 points from the UDS examination or who have received a score equivalent to this score from an examination accepted by the Universities Council, and those who have completed their undergraduate studies in a program of study in one of these foreign languages, are exempted from the foreign language examination. Candidates who successfully pass the foreign language examination will be interviewed by the candidate evaluation jury. The interview grade is given over 100 full grades. A candidates scientific achievement grade; 60% of the ALES score, 25% of the grade level grade point average and 15% of the interview grade. Conditions for Success | The programme, provided that it is not less than 21 credits in total, consist of 7 compulsory and elective courses at least, one seminar and submission of a thesis. Apart from midterms and final examinations, students make presentations, home works and prepare projects and papers. These learning activities can be used for assessment of the students. Students should prepare the thesis according to the writing rules of the institute and defend verbally the thesis to the jury.The program consists of at least seven courses, not less than 21 local credits, a seminar course and thesis study. The masters degree program consists of compulsory and elective courses. The total ECTS credit of the program is 120. However, some of the programs have been taken as special students according to Article 10 of the GAZİOSMANPAŞA UNIVERSITY GRADUATE EDUCATION-TRAINING REGULATION at the undergraduate level and successful students have completed their undergraduate studies in the science department entering the program in a faculty with a normal duration exceeding eight semesters including the preparatory class, Students who can complete shortly can complete their studies with a justified recommendation of the related department and the decision of the Administrative Board of the Institute in a shorter time. Besides the midterm and final exams, learning activities such as reports, assignments, quizzes, seminar presentations and project studies in the lessons can be used in the performance evaluation of the student during the semester. This note should be at least 70 out of 100 in order for the student to be considered successful in dersten. If the student is unsuccessful, he / she may register again or take other graduate courses approved by his / her advisor. In addition, the courses can be selected from the courses offered at other higher education institutions by the recommendation of the advisor and the related institutions department and the approval of the Administrative Board of the Institute, as well as the doctoral program courses if the advisor is appropriate and necessary. It is stipulated by the institute that the number of courses taken from other higher education institutions can not be exceeded by nine credits, but how much can be counted as a minimum of 21 credits. Up to two of the courses the learners will be able to choose from undergraduate courses, provided they have not been taken during undergraduate study. The seminar course and thesis work are evaluated as successful or unsuccessful according to the local credit system. The student has to register for each semester thesis study since the beginning of the third semester at the latest. A student in a thesis graduate program must write the results of thesis related to the dissertation writing rules of the relevant institute and defend his thesis orally in front of the jury. After the completion of the thesis examination, the jury decides acceptance, rejection or correction of the thesis with absolute majority. The student who has been given a correction for the thesis shall make his / her request within three months at the latest and defend his thesis again in front of the same jury. At the end of this defense, the student who is not accepted as a thesis is deleted. | |
