Students are required to take at least one mid-term exam and one final exam in each semester. Quizzes can be given without prior notice. The criteria such as quizzes, mid-terms and final exams and assignments which are taken into consideration for evaluation and the ratio of the criteria are distributed through course syllabuses to the students in the beginning of each semester or announced on the website. Dates, places and times of final examinations are determined and declared to the students by the Institution. Final grades of the students are determined by the instructor of related course according to the assessment after considering mid-term and final examination results, term studies, and attendance of the student. If there are courses not requiring any mid-term or final exams, these courses are determined by the related Heads of Departments and informed to the Registrar’s Office. Semester studies of the students are taken into account for the final grades of these courses. Course grades for the end of term are submitted to the Registrar’s Office by the lecturer. Success Criteria Students have to obtain at least (DD) from a course in any semester in order to be considered successful for that course. Besides, students need a GPA and Cumulative GPA (CGPA) of at least 1.80 in order to be considered successful in a year. At the end of each semester, students obtaining a GPA of 3.00-3.49 with a normal semester course load at minimum are considered “Honor Students” and those obtaining a GPA of 3.50-4.00 are considered “High Honor Students” for that term. Repeating Courses Students having received an “DZ” (non-Attendance) “FF”, “FD”, “YZ” (Unsatisfactory) in any course or those not having followed the course during its regular semester must repeat it in the first semester the course is offered again. If these courses are elective courses or ones deleted from the curriculum, students have to take one of the other courses that are considered equivalent by the relevant Heads of Department. Repeating the Semester Undergraduate students who could not obtain a CGPA and / or GPA of 2.00 are considered unsuccessful. Unsuccessful students in their second semester or above must have a CGPA of at least 1.80 including the semester they have already registered so that they can continue their education. Otherwise, they have to repeat the courses they have already taken until they increase their CGPA to 1.80.Students must be passed all the courses, but should not be FF, FD or DZ grade in the program. Access Requirements

In the framework of the regulations set by Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK), student admission for this undergraduate program is made through a university entrance examination called ÖSYS. Following the submission of students’ academic program preferences, Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) places the students to the relevant program according to the score they get from ÖSYS. Exchange student admission is made according to the requirements determined by bilateral agreements signed by BEU and the partner university. Visiting students can enroll for the courses offered in this program upon the confirmation of the related academic unit.

Conditions for SuccessStudents must be passed all the courses, but should not be FF, FD or DZ grade in the program. In this program Students should provide a minimum of 240 ECTS credits and GPA should be at least 2.00 out of 4.00Bitlis Eren University studying in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, all students throughout the four years of education have to work 40 working days. In order to graduate from this undegraduate program, the students are required; * to succeed in all of the courses listed in the curriculum of the program by getting the grade of at least DD/S with a minimum of 240 ECTS, * to have a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00 out of 4.00, * to complete their compulsory internship in a specified duration and quality.
