- Felsefe disiplinine özgü muhakeme süreçlerinin ürünü olan bilgi alanlarına ve bu alanlardaki kavramlara hakim olmak.
- Felsefe tarihi çerçevesinde felsefe disiplininin ayırt edici temel yöntemleri, kavrayışları ve teorileri aracılığıyla felsefi problemleri kavrama, anlama ve onları pratik olarak değerlendirme ve yorumlama kabiliyeti kazanmak.
- Sosyal, siyasi ve kültürel sorunları analitik olarak değerlendirebilen ve bu sorunlara felsefi bir bakış açısıyla çözümler önerebilen bir birey olmak.
- Felsefi problemlerin derinlemesine anlaşılması ve çözümlenmesi için zorunlu olan felsefe metinlerinin analiz, değerlendirme ve yorumlama yöntemlerini geliştirmek.
- Genel olarak bilgi ve özel olarak bilim, sanat ve din gibi konularda felsefi bir bakış açısına sahip olmak.
- Bilgi felsefesi, bilim felsefesi, varlık felsefesi, ahlak, siyaset ve din felsefesi gibi felsefenin temel alanlarındaki belli başlı problemler, kavramlar ve bu alanlarda ileri sürülen teoriler, ortaya çıkan akımlar konusunda donanım edinmek.
- Edindiği felsefi bakış açısıyla, insan ve insan dışındaki varlıkların haklarına saygı, çoğulculuk ve hoşgörü gibi erdemlerin ehemmiyetinin farkında olan bir birey olmak.
- Yaşamı boyunca karşılaşabileceği çeşitli ve sorunları özgürce ve objektif bir biçimde araştırabilen, eleştirebilen ve değerlendirebilen bir birey olmak.
- Felsefi muhakemenin temel yöntemlerini kullanarak yaratıcı ve tutarlı düşünmeyi alışkanlık haline getirmek.

- The students will have enough knowledge about related concepts in philosophy.
- The students will have the ability of grasping, understanding, evaluating and interpreting philosophical problems via basic philosophical methods, conceptions and theories within the framework of history of philosophy.
- The students will analytically assess social, political and cultural problems and suggest solutions to these problems via philosophical perspective that s/he has developed.
- The students will develop the methods of analysis, evaluation, and interpretation of philosophical texts which is necessary for an in depth understanding and resolving of philosophical problems.
- The students will have a philosophical perspective about knowledge in general and science, art, and religion in particular.
- The students will have the abilities to assess basic problems, concepts, theories, and various schools of fundamental areas of philosophy such as epistemology, philosophy of science, metaphysics, ontology, ethics, and philosophy of politics and of religion.
- The students will be aware of the significance of virtues such as respect for rights of human and nonhuman beings, pluralism and tolerance via philosophical perspective s/he has gained.
- The students will be able to investigate, criticize, and evaluate various problems that s/he might face throughout his/her life objectively.
- The students will be able to think creatively and consistently via basic ways of philosophical reasoning.
- The students will be able to use philosophical capacities s/he has got in practical life effectively.
- The students will be able to take responsibility and take part in group studies via philosophical virtues s/he has developed during his/her undergraduate study.
