Fotoğrafçılık ve Kameramanlık Programı; bilimsel yöntemler ışığında fotoğrafçılık ve kameramanlık hizmetlerini gerçekleştirecek nitelikli, iyi yetişmiş, etik değerlere sahip, fotoğraf ve kamera tekniği alanlarında çalışacak yeni teknolojilere ve güncel gelişmelere hakim teknik elemanlar yetiştirmeyi hedeflemektedir.
- Görsel kültür, güzel sanatlar ve görsel iletişim konularına özgü, kültür, estetik, yöntem, teknik ve malzemeler konusunda temel bilgilere sahiptir.
- Görsel kültür ve iletişim alanındaki yeterliklerini kullanarak etkili durağan (fotoğraf) ve hareketli (video) görüntüler çekebilir.
- Karşılaştığı görsel malzemelerdeki sorunları saptayarak etkili hale gelebilmesi için gerekli düzeltmeleri önerebilir.
- Farklı sorunların çözümüne yönelik etkili fotoğraf ve video yoluyla mesajlar üretebilir.
- Alanıyla ilgili farklı projelerde ekip üyesi olarak uyumlu biçimde çalışabilir.
- Üzerine aldığı görevleri eksiksiz yerine getirmeye çalışır.
- Fotoğraf ve kameramanlık alanıyla ilgili konularda çalışmalarını değerlendirerek eksikliğini hissettiği konularda sürekli olarak kendini geliştirmeye yönelik etkinliklere katılır.
- Fotoğraf ve kameramanlık alanı ya da benzeri alanlarda eğitimine devam etmek için istekli davranır.
- Alanıyla ilgili farklı hedef kitlelerle iyi iletişim kurar.
- Duygu, düşünce, görüş ve projelerini farklı kesimlere görsel, yazılı ve sözlü biçimde aktarabilir.
- İngilizceyi alanındaki kaynakları takip edebilecek ve meslektaşları ile iletişim kurabilecek düzeyde kullanır.
- Fotoğraf işleme yazılımlarını temel düzeyde kullanır.
- Sanatsal, kültürel ve etik değerlere, çevre duyarlığı, iş sağlığı ve güvenliği ilkelerine dikkat ederek başarılı durağan ya da hareketli görsel mesajlar üretir.
- Fotoğraf ve kameramanlığın kullanım alanlarını bilir ve becerilerini yeni alanlara aktarabilir.
Televizyon programı yapım ve basın-yayın sektöründe, kamu ve özel televizyon kanallarında, film stüdyolarında, video kuruluşlarında, reklamcılık sektöründe çalışabilirler. Ayrıca, Fotoğrafçılık ve Kameramanlık Programından mezun olanlar sanal yayıncılık alanında da iş imkanı bulabilmektedirler.
