• To train communication specialists who are equipped with the theoretical knowledge required by the discipline of public relations, who act in accordance with the principles of professional ethics, who are effective in personal and interpersonal communication, who follow and apply the scientific and technological developments required by working life, and who have innovative, creative and distinctive features.

• Education and training takes place in 4 different environments. These are In the classroom environment, theoretical information is given in courses related to the field. Computer applications courses (Web Publishing, Graphic Design, Applied Statistical Techniques in Communication Units, etc.) are given in the laboratory environment. Thanks to the public relations units (Agency, Communication and Organisation, Social Responsibility and Project Management) located in the media centre, theoretical courses are carried out in the application environment. Theoretical and practical courses are experienced in sector life through internships.

Exams; There are six types of exams: midterm, final exam, make-up exam, graduation exam, excuse exam and exemption exam. Exam grades are evaluated out of 100 points. The contribution of the midterm exam to the letter grade 40%. In case of a midterm exam, 40%, in case of more than one midterm exam and semester work, the contribution of the sum of the percentages of these exams or semester work to the letter grade is determined by the instructor of the course not to exceed 40%. The contribution of the final exam to the letter grade is 60%. It is obligatory to get at least 45 points out of 100 in the final exam. Students who do not take the final exam or do not get at least 45 points from this exam, midterm exams and in-semester studies are not included in the evaluation and these students are evaluated with a letter grade of FF. Exams are evaluated out of 100 points. In converting the grade out of 100 points into a letter grade, the weights of the midterm exam, midterm studies and final exam are taken into account. Students who receive one of the letter grades AA, BA, BB, CB and CC from a course are considered to have succeeded in that course. In addition students with a grade point average of at least 2.00 for a semester are also considered successful in the courses in which they receive a DC letter grade in the final exam and make-up exam in that semester. The autumn and spring semesters are not related to each other, and the grade point average of each semester affects its own semester. Students who receive one of the letter grades DD, FD and FF from a course are considered unsuccessful in that course. Students whose grade point average for a semester is not at least 2.00 are considered unsuccessful in the courses in which they receive a DC letter grade in that semester and repeat these courses in the first semester they are given.

Students who receive a DC letter grade in the graduation exam are considered unsuccessful in these courses regardless of their semester averages and these courses in the first semester they are given. The letter grade G is given to students who are successful in non-credit courses. G grade is not included in average calculations. The letter grade K is given to students who fail non-credit courses. K grade is not included in the average calculations. The letter grade of S is given for the graduation study and project course that lasts longer than one semester and is successfully continued. M grade is not included in the average calculations. According to the characteristics of the education programme, it is compulsory for students to do internship in public or private sector institutions, which are accepted by the relevant board of directors, in order to transfer the acquired knowledge to the field of application.

To oversee the quality of higher education programs;

- YÖK is responsible for planning, organizing, managing and supervising education and training and other activities in higher education institutions.

- "University Monitoring and Evaluation Reports" of higher education institutions prepared within the framework of the criteria determined by YÖK are published every year. The reports prepared according to these reports, including quantitative and qualitative evaluations of higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK.

- "Foundation Higher Education Institutions Report" containing academic, administrative and financial data of foundation higher education institutions is published annually by CoHE. These reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of foundation higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK. Quality assurance of undergraduate programs in higher education is ensured according to the "Procedures and Principles for Ensuring Quality Assurance of Higher Education Diploma Programs":

1. Creation and Approval of Curricula: YÖK determines the minimum standards and criteria required for the opening of undergraduate departments and programs in higher education institutions.

1.1. The curriculum of undergraduate programs in higher education institutions and the learning outcomes that each program will provide to the student are determined by the senates of higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

1.2. The curricula of the National Core Curricula are adopted by the relevant Council of Deans and implemented by higher education institutions with the approval of the Council of Higher Education.

2. Assessment and Evaluation: The measurement and evaluation of the learning outcomes of each undergraduate program is carried out according to the teaching and examination regulations prepared by higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

3. Certification: Students enrolled in undergraduate programs, if they successfully complete the course credits and other obligations determined by higher education institutions; receive a bachelor's diploma.

4. Self-Assessment-External Evaluation: Higher education institutions, in the context of continuous monitoring, enter the "Institutional Internal Evaluation Reports" of the previous year into the Information System prepared by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) at the beginning of each year. YÖKAK shares the "Institutional Feedback Report" prepared for the external evaluation of higher education institutions with the public. In addition, accreditation decisions issued by accreditation bodies authorized or recognized by YÖKAK also indicate that the quality assurance of the qualifications of the programs is ensured. YÖKAK conducts regular review activities regarding the qualifications determined in accordance with the legislation.

• For student admission to the programme, it is necessary to have passed the Central Student Selection and Placement Examination. It is necessary to get the required score in the exams applied in two stages. The scores of the students in the verbal score type from the AYT exam are calculated by ÖSYM and they gain the right to enter according to their score and success ranking within the determined quota. In addition, students can also enrol through vertical transfer and horizontal transfer from appropriate departments.

• Graduates take professional roles in both the public and private sectors.
