- Ekonomik teorileri, yöntemleri ve sistemleri karşılaştırabilme ve eleştirel bir bakış açısıyla değerlendirebilme.
- Ekonomi biliminin temel alanlarında teorik bilgilere sahip olma, analiz ve uygulamalı çalışma yapabilme.
- Yerel veya küresel ekonomik ve sosyal sorunlar karşısında politika önerileri geliştirebilme.
- Araştırmalarında ve mesleki çalışmalarında, intihal, sahtecilik, çarpıtma gibi etik ihlallere yer vermeden, özgün düşünceler üretebilme kapasitesi geliştirmek.

Upon the successful completion of the program, the students will be able to:
- Compare the main economic theories, methods and systems, and to evaluate them with the critical approach.
- Build upon their basic theoretical knowledge of economics and perform empirical analyses.
- Develop policy implications regarding local or global economic and social problems.
- Develop the capacity to construct unique ideas in their research and professional works without ethical breaches such as plagiarism, forgery and distortion.
- Produce works at a standard that would enhance and contribute to existing literature.
- Utilize their qualifications of quantitative thinking and academic competency for open communication and cooperation towards research.
- Acquire the qualifications sought at the international labour force markets.
