The aim of this program is to educate healthcare professionals capable of providing emergency service to patients and injured people at both a basic and advanced level. As professional paramedics, they will be able to provide patients and injured people with medical support that will prolong their life avoiding possible permanent disorders till the genuine treatment commences. Besides being well-informed about and capable to deal with any trauma in the human system with competence, they know how to safely carry a patient or injured people to a hospital after expertly providing the first aid assistance.

Learning takes place in the form of formal, open or distance teaching. In addition; Applied trainings are carried out in laboratories and workshops within higher education institutions or as internships or workplace training in health institutions and workplaces.

• The student acquires theoretical and practical knowledge related to his field at a basic level.
• Uses medical devices according to first aid procedures. And identifies and reports the default about those devices.
• The student manages a duty independently by using the knowledge about his field at a basic level.
• The student evaluates the knowledge about his field at a basic level with a critical approach, he designates his learning needs and directs his learning.
• Uses effective communication with patient and patient relatives.
• During the immediate treatment provides the optimal comfort for the patient.
• The student has sufficient consciousness about individual and public health, environmental protection and work safety issues.
• The student acts in accordance with laws, regulations, legislations and professional ethics related to individual duties, rights and responsibilities.
• The student knows information about moral discipline and ethical rules related to his field.

The success of a course is determined by the course grade. The course grade is obtained by evaluating the student's achievement in the semester and the general examination together with the midterm exams and midterm exams, applied studies, group work and similar studies. Students who fail to obtain a minimum score of 50 from the general examination will be considered as failures for all courses. In order to be successful, Dersten must have at least 60 points at the end of the term or 2.27 times the number of achievements.

To ensure the quality of higher education programs:

The Council of Higher Education (YÖK) is responsible for the planning, organization, management, and supervision of education, training, and other activities in higher education institutions.
The “University Monitoring and Evaluation Reports” prepared for higher education institutions within the framework of the criteria set by YÖK are published annually. Based on these reports, YÖK also shares reports with the public that include both quantitative and qualitative evaluations of higher education institutions.
YÖK also publishes the “Foundation Higher Education Institutions Report” every year, which includes academic, administrative, and financial data of foundation higher education institutions. These reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of foundation universities, are made publicly available by YÖK.

The quality assurance of undergraduate programs in higher education is ensured according to the “Procedures and Principles for Ensuring the Quality Assurance of Higher Education Diploma Programs”:

1. Development and Approval of Curricula:
   YÖK determines the minimum standards and criteria required for the establishment of associate degree departments and programs in higher education institutions.

1.1. The curricula of associate degree programs and the learning outcomes expected from students in each program are determined by the senates of higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles set by YÖK.

1.2. The curricula of National Core Education Programs are implemented by higher education institutions following their approval by YÖK after being accepted by the relevant Council of Deans.

1. Assessment and Evaluation:
   The methods for assessing and evaluating the learning outcomes to be acquired by students in each associate degree program are carried out in accordance with the education and examination regulations prepared by higher education institutions in line with the fundamental principles determined by YÖK.
2. Certification:
   Students enrolled in associate degree programs receive an associate degree diploma upon successfully completing the course credits and other requirements set by the higher education institutions.

Self-Assessment and External Evaluation:
As part of continuous monitoring, higher education institutions enter their “Internal Evaluation Reports” for the previous year into the Information System prepared by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) at the beginning of each year.
YÖKAK shares the “Institutional Feedback Report” it prepares for the external evaluation of higher education institutions with the public.
In addition, accreditation decisions made by accreditation agencies authorized or recognized by YÖKAK indicate that the quality assurance of program qualifications has been ensured.
In accordance with YÖKAK regulations, regular review activities are carried out regarding the qualifications set.

Students must have successfully graduated from high schools (or equals). The placements are done following the rules of Turkish Higher Education Council (YÖK) respect to the scores obtained from the nation-Basic Competence Test (TYT). Student register to programmes on the days declared by the Rectorship Students should have earned a high school or an equivalent diploma and sufficient score on nation-Basic Competence Test (TYT). Admission is based on the scores, according to the rules determined by Higher Education Council. For international students who will be accepted according to the National or International Exams, Quota and conditions are announced on our University’s website.

Program graduates have job opportunities in 112 ambulances or private ambulance companies and private hospital emergency services.
