Sınavlar için gerekli notlar ve diğer istisnai koşullar Enstitü tarafından belirlenir ve ilan edilir. Yurtiçi veya dışında eşdeğer programda öğrenimine başlamış bir öğrenci yatay geçiş için başvuru yapabilir. Öğrencilerin kabulü dönem başlamadan, her bir öğrencinin şartları ve başvuru yaptığı derece dikkate alınarak incelenir ve özel olarak değerlendirilir. | Başarma Şartları | Tezli yüksek lisans programı toplam yirmi dört krediden az olmamak koşuluyla en az sekiz ders, bir seminer dersi ve tez çalışmasından oluşur. Seminer dersi ve tez çalışması kredisiz olup başarılı veya başarısız olarak değerlendirilir. - Karmaşık mühendislik problemlerini saptama, tanımlama, formüle etme ve uygun analitik ve modelleme yöntemleri ile çözme becerisi.
- Karmaşık bir sistemi, sistem bileşenini yada süreci ekonomi, istenen koşullar altında, optimum şekilde tasarlama ve modern tasarım yöntemlerini uygulama becerisi.
- İnşaat mühendisliği uygulamaları için gerekli olan modern teknik, araç ve bilgisayar programlarını seçme, geliştirme ve etkin kullanma becerisi.

Öğrenci, ara sınav ve yarıyıl sonu sınav değerlendirmesine alınır. Ara sınav zorunlu değildir.
Öğrencinin yarıyıl sonu sınavına girebilmesi için teorik derslerin %70'ine, uygulamalı derslerin ise %80'ine devam etmiş olması gerekir.
Yarıyıl sonu sınavları, Üniversite tarafından her yıl belirlenen ve duyurulan zamanlarda yapılır. Yarıyıl sonu sınavında geçer not, yüksek lisans için en az 65 ve doktora için en az 75 puandır. Ara sınavın başarı notuna katkısı %30’dur. Başarı notu yüksek lisans için en düşük 65, doktora için en düşük 75'tir.
İlgili dönemde kayıt yaptığı dersin yarıyıl sonu sınavına girme hakkı olup da girmeyen veya girdiği halde başarılı olmayan öğrenciler bütünleme sınavına alınırlar.Bütünleme sınav sonucu, yarıyıl sonu sınavı sonucu yerine sayılır.
