- Teknik resim çizim kurallarını ve tasarım kurallarını bilerek, temel boyutlandırma hesaplarını yapabilme, istenilen özelliklere uygun şekilde makine parçalarını ve bir sistemi tasarlayıp, mesleki plan ve projeleri çizebilme becerisini kazanır.
- Talaşlı/talaşsız imalat yöntemlerini bilmek, tezgâhları/makineleri kullanarak üretim yapabilir.
- Alanındaki çeşitli yazılımları ve simülasyon programlarını kullanarak tasarım yapar. Alanı ile ilgili sistemleri ve bileşenlerini seçebilme, temel boyutlandırma hesaplarını yapabilme, mesleki plan ve projeleri çizebilme becerisini kazanır.
