To maintain a contemporary architectural education model that will generate architects who can compete on national and international levels, who can produce and interpret rational solutions by identifying environmental, social and architectural problems, and to be in an active position in the fields of research and practice. It is also aimed to generate research-oriented professionals who protect the Republic's foundational principles and universal ethical values, who can define their national identity on a global level in line with the educational formation they have got, who can question and use knowledge, who can think independently and critically, who can use contemporary technology, who can bring rational solutions to today's architectural problems, and who have social and environmental awareness.

Education and training are carried out in the form of formal, open or distance education. In addition, practical training is provided as internships or workplace training in laboratories and workshops within higher education institutions or in industry, healthcare institutions and workplaces.

The following are the main key competencies that are advanced level:

The success of a student in a course is determined based on the evaluation criteria specified in the course information form. This form includes the percentage of the impact of quizzes, mid-term exams, final exams, assignments, projects, and other course-related work on the final grade.

The evaluation is carried out by the course instructor based on the specified percentage of each component. In case a student who has fulfilled the attendance requirement does not take the final exam, they will be evaluated with an FF grade regardless of their success during the term.

The grades and marks given to students are listed below:

• EX (Exempt): Given to students for the courses they are exempt from in their registered programs, minor and double major programs.
• NA (Absent-failed): Given to students who have inadequate attendance in courses.
• NC (Creditless/out of average): Given to students for the courses they take outside of their registered programs, minor and double major programs. The success grades of these courses are not included in the average; however, they appear on the transcript.
• S (Satisfactory): Given to students who have succeeded in courses defined by the Senate as S/U type.
• U (Unsatisfactory): Given to students who have failed in courses defined by the Senate as S/U type.
• - VF (Unsatisfactory-failed): Given to students who have fulfilled the attendance requirement but failed to fulfill the obligations specified in the course information form.

The success grades, their equivalents in the 4-point system, and explanations are provided in the table below:

• To complete a course, you need to receive a CC or higher or an S grade in that course.
• In the relevant term, DD and DC grades are also considered successful if the weighted overall grade point average at the end of the term is at least 2.00.
• Even if the weighted overall grade point average at the end of the term is 2.00 or higher, DD and DC grades may be considered unsuccessful for some courses determined by the Senate.

To monitor the quality of higher education programs;

• Council of Higher Education(YÖK) is responsible for the planning, organization, management and supervision of education, training and other activities carried out in higher education institutions.
• "University Monitoring and Evaluation Reports" of higher education institutions, prepared every year within the framework of the criteria determined by YÖK, are published. Reports prepared according to these reports, containing quantitative and qualitative evaluations for higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK.
• Every year, YÖK publishes the "Foundation Higher Education Institutions Report", which includes academic, administrative and financial data on foundation higher education institutions. These reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of foundation higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK.

Quality assurance of undergraduate programs in higher education is provided according to the "Procedures and Principles for Providing Quality Assurance of Higher Education Diploma Programs":

1. Creation and Approval of Curriculum:
   1. YÖK determines the minimum standards and criteria required for the opening of undergraduate departments and programs in higher education institutions.
   2. The curriculum of undergraduate programs in higher education institutions and the learning outcomes that each program will bring to the student are determined by the senates of higher education institutions by the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.
   3. The curriculum of National Core Education Programs is implemented by higher education institutions with the approval of YÖK after being accepted by the relevant Deans Council.
2. Measurement-Evaluation: How to measure and evaluate the learning outcomes that each undergraduate program will provide to the student is carried out by the education, training and examination regulations prepared by higher education institutions by the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.
3. Certification: Students enrolled in undergraduate programs, if they complete the course credits and other obligations determined by higher education institutions; receive a bachelor's degree.
4. Self-Evaluation-External Evaluation: In the context of continuous monitoring, higher education institutions enter the "Institution Internal Evaluation Reports" of the previous year into the Information System prepared by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) at the beginning of each year. The "Institutional Feedback Report" prepared by YÖKAK regarding the external evaluation of higher education institutions is shared with the public. In addition, accreditation decisions made by accreditation bodies authorized or recognized by YÖKAK also show that the quality assurance of the qualifications of the programs is ensured. It carries out regular review activities regarding the qualifications determined by the YÖKAK legislation.

• Graduating from a high school in Turkey or a foreign high school whose equivalence is approved by the Ministry of National Education and meeting the admission requirements of the relevant undergraduate program.
• Being placed in the relevant undergraduate program of the higher education institution through the centralized exam administered by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) by the principles and procedures determined by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
• Obtaining a sufficient score in the centralized exam administered by ÖSYM for undergraduate programs that admit students through a special aptitude exam determined by YÖK, and passing the special aptitude exam.
• Being placed in the undergraduate programs that are a continuation of the fields completed by associate degree graduates through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) administered by ÖSYM by the principles and procedures determined by YÖK.

• Individuals who have obtained a bachelor's degree can continue their education by enrolling in a graduate program or a doctoral and artistic proficiency program that accepts bachelor's degrees if they meet the relevant requirements.
• Bachelor's students have the right to participate in double major programs offered by the higher education institutions they are attending. Students enrolled in the double major program can take courses from two different diploma programs simultaneously, and if they succeed, they can obtain two separate bachelor's degrees.
