As a department, our aim is to train professional staff who can comprehend the basic information and documents in the field of accounting that will meet the needs of accounting and tax services, accounting or consultancy offices and accounting and finance departments of commercial firms, know the functions and importance of accounting, follow the legislation related to the profession, and have the ability to create accounting records.

Learning takes place in the form of formal, open or distance education. In addition, practical training is carried out in laboratories and workshops within higher education institutions or as internships or workplace training in industry, health institutions and workplaces.

• To have sufficient background in accounting, law, basic business administration, management and the subjects required by the field; to gain theoretical and practical knowledge in these areas.
• To have the ability to interpret and evaluate data, identify and analyze problems, and develop solutions based on evidence by using the basic knowledge and skills acquired in the field.
• To be able to design using professional media and tools related to the field, to have the ability to realize plans and projects.
• To be able to produce solutions when faced with unforeseen situations in applications related to the field, to take responsibility in teams or to gain the ability to work individually.
• To gain application skills by examining the processes related to the field in public and private sector organizations.

Success in a course is determined by the course success grade. The course success grade is obtained by evaluating the student's success in the semester in midterm exams and assignments, practical studies, group studies and similar studies that replace midterm exams and the general exam together. To be valid for all courses, students who fail to get at least 50 points from the general exam are considered unsuccessful in that course. In order to be successful in the course, it is necessary to have at least 60 points or 2.27 success coefficient at the end of the semester.

To oversee the quality of higher education programs;

- YÖK is responsible for planning, organizing, managing and supervising education and training and other activities in higher education institutions.

- “University Monitoring and Evaluation Reports” of higher education institutions prepared within the framework of the criteria determined by YÖK are published every year. The reports prepared according to these reports, including quantitative and qualitative evaluations of higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK.

- “Foundation Higher Education Institutions Report” containing academic, administrative and financial data of foundation higher education institutions is published annually by CoHE. These reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of foundation higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK. Quality assurance of undergraduate programs in higher education is ensured according to the “Procedures and Principles for Ensuring Quality Assurance of Higher Education Diploma Programs”:

1. Creation and Approval of Curricula: YÖK determines the minimum standards and criteria required for the opening of associate degree departments and programs in higher education institutions.

1.1. The curriculum of associate degree programs in higher education institutions and the learning outcomes that each program will provide to students are determined by the senates of higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

1.2. After the curriculum of the National Core Curriculum is accepted by the relevant Council of Deans, it is implemented by higher education institutions with the approval of YÖK.

2. Assessment and Evaluation: How the measurement and evaluation of the learning outcomes that each associate degree program will provide to the student is carried out according to the teaching and examination regulations prepared by higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

3. Certification: Students enrolled in associate degree programs, if they successfully complete the course credits and other obligations determined by higher education institutions; receive an associate degree diploma.

4. Self-Assessment-External Evaluation: Higher education institutions, in the context of continuous monitoring, enter the “Institutional Internal Evaluation Reports” of the previous year into the Information System prepared by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) at the beginning of each year. YÖKAK shares the “Institutional Feedback Report” prepared for the external evaluation of higher education institutions with the public.

4. Self-Assessment-External Evaluation: In the context of continuous monitoring, higher education institutions enter their “Institutional Internal Evaluation Reports” for the previous year into the Information System prepared by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) at the beginning of each year. YÖKAK shares the “Institutional Feedback Report” prepared for the external evaluation of higher education institutions with the public.

In addition, accreditation decisions issued by accreditation bodies authorized or recognized by YÖKAK also indicate that the quality assurance of the qualifications of the programs is ensured. YÖKAK conducts regular review activities regarding the qualifications determined in accordance with the legislation.

In order to be accepted to this program, it is necessary to have a diploma by completing high school or equivalent education. Students are accepted to the program according to the TYT score type and the principles determined by the Council of Higher Education. Foreign Students are accepted within the framework of the success criteria determined by the Senate.

After graduation, students work as intermediate staff in the accounting departments of companies.
