General principles

ARTICLE 5 -

(1) Masters degree programs are two-fold with thesis and without thesis. It is decided by the Senate on the basis of the recommendation of the institute board and the director of the institute which will be the subject of this program.

(2) Upon the decision of YÖK; The necessity of having instructor and technology in the same place, the planning and communication technologies can be opened with the graduate board of directors in which the teaching activities are planned and conducted.Application and acceptance

ARTICLE 6 -

(1) List of master programs with thesisa) For those who are required to manage master programs with thesis, the members who have a bachelors degree appropriate to the relevant department / main program must have a score of at least 55 ALES points or a standard score. However, ALES friends are not sought in the admission of the students to the departments of the fine arts faculties and conservatories. Candidates whose applications are accepted for masters degree are listed on a site that provides registration of candidates, 60% of the ALES score, 30% of the foreign average, and 10% of the foreign language score. National or international foreign language tests accepted as equivalent by YDS or YÖK. Future non-dull candidates are taken as zero here. ALES and foreign language scores are given priority.

b) For masters degree programs or foreign language courses with a thesis, candidates must take national or international foreign language examination which is accepted as a co-ordinate for the admission of YDS in order to be accepted in a masters program. The minimum scores and knowledge required for these exams are determined by the proposal of the chairman and the decision of the institute board.

c) In order to apply for master programs with thesis in the faculty of fine arts and design and conservatory, candidates must have a bachelors degree which is deemed appropriate for the related department / department. The ranking of applicants accepted for master programs; 20% of the foreign language score, 30% of the undergraduate grade point average, 50% of the total score of the professional test and assessment exam is made. National or international foreign language exams accepted as equivalents by YDS or YÖK apply as foreign language score. For those who do not have a foreign language score, their contribution to the next point will be zero. Students who have a total score of less than 50 and who do not take the professional accumulation measurement and evaluation exam are not registered. In case of equality, priority is given to those with high foreign language scores.ç) In the application for Masters degree programs with thesis, the relevant department / department of art / science / arts branch, science examination and / or interview can be made. In such a case, the application evaluation takes place as follows:

1) 50% of the ALES score, 20% of the undergraduate grade point average, 20% of the grade taken in the science exam or the interview, and 10% of the foreign language score is over 50 points.

2) In the case that the science exam and interview are conducted together, the grade taken in the interview is taken as the basis of the grade taken in the interview.3) In the case of a science / interview examination, candidates who do not take the exam are not taken into consideration. (Amended by R.G. 28.11.2018)d) The applicants who have completed the undergraduate programs of the University in the first year must apply to the first place in the undergraduate programs they graduate and must meet the minimum requirements for the program they are applying to. In the event that more than one candidate is admitted to the announced program, the ranking of these candidates is based on the undergraduate grade point average. In case the candidates grade point averages are equal, candidates with a high ALES grade are preferred.

(2) The conditions to be sought in the applicants for non-thesis masters programs and the principles for evaluation are as follows:a) In order to apply for non-thesis masters programs, candidates must have a bachelors degree which is deemed appropriate for the related department. Candidates are ranked according to the undergraduate GPA. In addition to the graduation grade, students may have one or more written, interview, composition, ability-proficiency and practical exams in addition to the graduation grade. Which of these exams are taken into account, the dates of exams, the determination of the juries and the procedures related to the evaluation are determined by the board of directors of the institute by taking the opinion of the department / department. In this case, 60% of the graduation grade, 40% of the exam grade is collected and the candidates are ranked. The conversion table determined by YÖK is used in converting the success grade obtained according to the quartet system to one hundred percent system.

b) Special conditions may be determined by the decision of the Senate within the framework of the decisions of the higher education supreme institutions and the provisions of the relevant legislation for the non-thesis master programs to be opened especially for the practitioners in various areas of secondary education and education sciences. In this framework, the examination is conducted by the examination commission consisting of three principal and two alternate members elected by the board of directors of the institute by taking the opinion of the department / department about the evaluation of the work done in the field of interview or talent exams or field. The examination commission informs the institute directorate on the same day.

To be graduated from Faculty of Education Music Education Programs.To provide the requirements of ALES, FOREIGN LANGUAGE and LICENSE GRADUATION AVERAGE, which is determined in the Regulation of Institute of Educational Sciences. ARTICLE 11 - (1) The masters program student, who successfully completes the compulsory courses and the seminar, writes his / her results in accordance with the spelling rules determined by the Senate and defends his / her thesis orally before the jury. (2) The student completes the thesis and submits the thesis to his / her supervisor before the defense of the master thesis and in the revised thesis. The counselor submits his thesis and originality report taken from the plagiarism program to the institute through his / her field. The Institute sends the plagiarism software program report to the advisor and the jury members. In case of detecting a true plagiarism in the data in the report, the thesis is sent to the board of the institute to be decided together with its justification. (3) Masters thesis jury, thesis supervisor and the relevant institute are appointed with the proposal of the head of department and the approval of the institute board. The jury consists of three or five faculty members, one of whom is a students thesis advisor and at least one is outside the University. If the jury consists of three persons, the second thesis advisor cannot be a jury member. (4) The student completing the thesis study submits the requested number of copies to the thesis advisor. The counselor sends the copies of the thesis to the related institute through the presidency of the department / head of department with the opinion of the thesis stated in writing in terms of compliance with the spelling rules. (5) The jury members shall take the student for a thesis examination at the latest within fifteen days as of the date of the submission of the thesis to them and within one month at the latest. The thesis exam consists of the presentation of the thesis work and the following question-answer section. The thesis examination is conducted in an open environment for the participation of listeners, graduate students and experts of the field. (6) After the completion of the thesis examination, the jury makes a decision of acceptance, rejection or correction by a simple majority about the thesis. This decision shall be notified to the related institute by the chair of the institute department within three days following the thesis examination. (7) Students who have been dismissed as failures are dismissed from the University. (8) The student, who is given a correction decision about his thesis, re-defends the thesis, which is revised in three months, in front of the same jury. Students who fail to find a thesis in the end of this defense will be dismissed from the University. (9) If the student whose thesis is rejected, he / she will be awarded a masters degree without thesis provided that the graduate program of the non-thesis master program fulfills the requirements of course credit load, project writing and so on.
