Have the knowledge about the interdisciplinary interactions which is related to musical sciences department. Use the methods and techniques in relation to musical sciences. Have the ability of interpretation skills based upon analyzing; solve the problems by using their logical, intuitional and creative power. Provide the unity of theory and practice.Have enough music ability and competence that both public and private sector will need. Internalize the multidimensional perception, cognitive, design and practice skills. Follow the innovations of the science and technology with the thought of the importance of the life- long learning and always improve themselves. Communicate in an oral and written way effectively. Use music as a means of communication. Have the responsibility of transferring their social values and traditions while doing research about their field. Have the knowledge about the methods of the artistic critics. Have the knowledge about the ethics of the art and science. Analyze the research about the musicology and follow the improvements. Have the knowledge about the procedures and techniques of the musical sciences department. Have the knowledge about the civilizations, art cultures and esthetics.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading All the students have to register for the courses at the beginning of each term, and have to join at least % 70 of all the courses and % 80 of all the practices in order to be able to have final exams. The students have at least 1 mid-term exam and 1 final exam for each course. The mid-term exam contributes %40 and the final exam contributes %60 to total grade. All the exams are assessed over 100 scoring system. And, the students who get one of the letter Marks such as ( AA ), ( BA ), ( BB ), ( CB ), and ( CC ) are accepted to achieve the course. The letter Marks such as (DC) and (DD) mean contidionally successful. Moreover, a student is required to get at least 2.0 Grade Point Average ( GPA ) in order to be successful in the course whose work is ( DC ) or ( DD ). At the end of each semester, there is usually a two-week term-end exam, which usually takes place immediately after completion of the semester to complete the degree / program. In addition to this, it is requested that the student be prepared individually or as a team for finishing project and oral defense (8th semester) for this study.

The student who wants to register for the Music Department of Arts Music Derpartment at Neşet Ertaş Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Carpet-Rug and Old Turkish Fabrics, must first obtain the basin grade determined every year from the OSYM evaluation exam, which is necessary for pre-registration. The students who succeed in the three-stage talent examinations of the Faculty of Fine Arts, who received the students with the ability exams, are taken to the placement process. Students who enter the master register list will have the right to make an absolute registration.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates The graduates may have the opportunity to work as a researcher, singer or performer in the field of music in the relevant departments of Universities, in music communities of Ministry of Culture, in the organizations of TRT or in Symphony Orchestra. In addition; they may work at corporations, municipalities, foundations or at private institutions. Also; the graduates who wish to specialize in their areas of interest will be able to continue the Master’s Degree or PhD in the faculties.
