Key Learning Outcomes;

Graduates of the programs will be able to;

1. to have knowledge about harmony, orchestration and form in classical and contemporary music; to compose pieces exhibiting contemporary technics using this knowledge.
2. have competence to work individually as well as in a group in musical settings.
3. being aware of the artistic and and scentific process of music from its design to performance of it in front of an audience and being able to express this process effectively.
4. have knowledge on interdisciplinary interaction, research methods, academic ethics, music criticism and historical background in the contemporary music scene.
5. think on new scopes for musical composition, pioneering new applications, and producing musical works with digital technologies.
6. being aware of latest technological developments in the field of music and other related disciplines.
7. gather information academically, while applying research methods, evaluating the sources, being able to research independently, having critical thinking abilities and synthesizing the ideas and information within a logical frame.

Supplementary Learning Outcomes;

Graduates of the programs will be able to;

1. having the competence to produce creative and original content for real life application in the field of music and its digital technologies.
2. perceiving the whole life as a field of performance, having critical thinking abilities to design and enduring this perception lifelong.
3. analysing musical works theory and formwise and presenting the outcomes effectively and correctly in frame of scientific criteria.
4. being productive in every field where sound and its technology can be together and exhibiting projects to help develop these fields.
5. being fluent in one foreign language in order to follow up new technologies creative processes and other developments in the field of music and to communicate with international colleagues.

(1) High School Diploma (2) Placement through a nation-wide Student Selection and Placement Examinations (3) Successful completion of special skills test (4) Certificate of Istanbul Bilgi University English Language Exam (BILET) or acceptable score of TOEFL or similar internationally recognised exams (5) For graduates of short-cycle degree programmes from the same or related fields of studies of vocational schools (MYOs), placement through a nation-wide Vertical Transfer Examination (Dikey Geçiş Sınavı) (6) For foreign students, placement by direct applications of candidates to the university and assessment by the university within the frameworks of the publicly available national and institutional regulations published on the university’s web site.
