| Ölçme ve Değerlendirme Yöntemleri | Vize, Final, Ödev, sunum Her ders için uygulanan ölçme ve değerlendirme yöntemleri ilgili öğretim üyesi/leri tarafından hazırlanan ve Bilgi paketinde yer alan Ders Tanıtım Formunda tanımlanmıştır. Sınavlar ve ders başarı notları ile ilgili olarak İDÜ Önlisans, Lisans Eğitim-Öğretim ve Sınav Yönetmeliğinin ve Eğitim Fakültesi Öğretim ve Sınav Uygulama Esaslarının ilgili maddeleri uygulanır. Buna göre öğrenciler derslere, uygulamalara ve sınavlara katılmak zorundadırlar. Öğrencilerin devam-devamsızlığı ilgili öğretim elemanı tarafından takip edilir. Öğrenciler her ders için bir ara sınav ve bir yarıyıl sonu sınavına tabi tutulurlar. Bazı derslerde, bunlara ek olarak yarıyıl içi çalışma da (proje, seminer, ödev, sunum vs.) istenebilir. Fakültemizin eğitim-öğretim yönetmeliğine göre bir ara sınav ve bir yarıyıl sonu sınavının başarı notuna katkısı %40 ve %60tır. Eğer yarıyıl içi çalışma da istenmişse, bu durumda ara sınav %30, yarıyıl sonu sınavı %60 ve yarıyıl içi çalışma da %10 olarak başarı notuna etki eder. Bir dersten (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB), (CC), (DC), (DD) ve (B) harf notlarından birini alan öğrenciler o dersten başarılı; (FD), (FF) ve (Y) notunu alan öğrenciler ise dersten başarısız sayılırlar. Genel not ortalaması 1.80den aşağı olan öğrenciler, daha önce almadıkları bir derse kayıt olamazlar. Bir dersten başarısız olan öğrenciler istedikleri takdirde, yarıyıl sonu sınavını takiben yapılacak olan Bütünleme Sınavlarına girebilirler. - Müzik Bilimleri kapsamında yer alan disiplinleri (Tarihsel müzikoloji, Sistematik müzikoloji ve Etnomüzikoloji) tanımlayabilme ve bu disiplinler arasındaki kuramsal ve uygulamalı farklılıkları açıklayabilme.
- Müzik Bilimleri ile diğer disiplinler (antropoloji, toplumbilim, kültürel çalışmalar, vb.) arasındaki kuramsal ve metodolojik ilişkileri anlatabilme.
- Müzikle ilişkili kuramsal, toplumsal/kültürel, bilimsel ve uygulamaya yönelik terminoloji ve kavramları tanımlayabilme.
- Müzikle incelemesinde kullanılan bilimsel araştırma yöntem ve tekniklerini tespit edebilme.
- Müziğin kaydedilmesi, notaya alınması ve analizine yönelik teknolojik (donanımsal ve yazılımsal) araçların özelliklerini tanımlayabilme.

Exam and passings grades are regulated according to the rules and regulations of İzmir Demokrasi University, Faculty of Education undergraduate programs as indicated in their catalogs. According to these students must attend classes, practices and examinations. Students attendance is followed by the Instructor concerned. For almost all required and elective courses there are two written examinations : One midterm examination ( given during each semester and dates of which are announced by the Department in the first month of the semester ) and one final exam. The semester grades are determined by adding forty percent of the midterm exam and sixty percent of the final exam grade. In some courses, additional works such as projects, presentations and assignments could be given to students. If there is an additional work given in that course, then the semester grades are: 30% of the midterm exam, 10% the midterm project and 60% of the final exam. Students are successful in the course if their grades are (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB), (CC), (DC), (DD) and (B); if their grades are (FD), (FF) and (Y), they fail. Students whose GPA are lower than 1.80 cannot register for a new course. - To be able to define the disciplines (historical musicology, systematic musicology and ethnomusicology) within the scope of music sciences and explain the theoretical and practical differences between these disciplines.
- To be able to explain the theoretical and methodological relations between music and other disciplines (anthropology, sociology, cultural studies, etc.).
- To be able to define the terminology and concepts related to music, social / cultural, scientific and practical. To be able to determine the scientific research methods and techniques used in music analysis.
- To be able to define the properties of technological (hardware and software) tools for recording, notation and analysis of music. To be able to design music research project and apply methods and techniques for data collection.
- To be able to reach and evaluate music-related printed and online literary sources.
- To be able to play at least 1 instrument with tonal (piano, guitar, etc.) or modal / makam features (binding, ud, classical kemençe etc.).
