Programın amacı; odyoloji eğitimini pratik uygulama ile birleştirerek alanında yetkin ve donanımlı, yenilikleri takip eden, araştırma planlayabilen ve uygulayabilen odyologlar yetiştirmektir.
Tam burslu eğitim sağlamaktadır.
- Bireylerin işitsel ve denge sistemlerindeki fonksiyon bozukluklarını belirlemeye yönelik olarak, davranışsal, elektroakustik ve/veya elektrofizyolojik yöntemleri uygular, elde edilen bulguları yorumlar ve sonuçları raporlar.
- Yenidoğan,okul öncesi ve okul dönemi işitme tarama programlarını uygular ve takip eder.
- Gürültülü akustik ortamlarda gürültü ölçümlerini yapar, bu ortamlarda yaşayan/ çalışan kişilerin işitme sağlığını korumaya yönelik gerekli önlemleri alır ve gerektiğinde uygun rehabilitasyon programlarını uygular.
- İşitme kayıplı bireyleri, işitme cihazı ve işitmeye yardımcı diğer cihazlar açısından değerlendirir, uygun cihaz/ları seçer, ayarlar ve bireye uygular.
- İşitme kayıplı bireylerin koklear implant açısından uyguluğunu değerlendirir, cerrahi sonrası koklear implantı programlar ve bireyin cihaza uyumunun sağlanması amacı ile odyolojik rehabilitasyon programını uygular.
- İşitme cihazı, koklear implant ve/veya diğer işitmeye yardımcı cihazları kullanan bireye/ailesine yönelik olarak cihazların bakımı, kullanımı ve ayarlanması hakkında danışmanlık yapar; alıcı ve ifade edici dil becerilerinin gelişimini kolaylaştırıcı çevresel düzenlemelerin kontrolünü ve bu bireylerin takibini yapar.
- İşitsel işlemleme bozukluğu olan çocukların ve yetişkinlerin değerlendirmesini yapar. Uygun terapi yöntemlerini belirler ve uygular.
- İşitme kayıplı ve/veya diğer işitmeye yardımcı cihazları kullanan bireylere yönelik olarak uygun (re)habilitasyon programlarını oluşturur, uygular.
- Tinnitus değerlendirmesini yapar. Uygun olan yöntemleri ( Biofeedback, davranışsal yöntemler, maskeleme, işitme cihazı vb…) belirler ve uygular.
- Vestibüler ve/veya denge bozukluğu olan bireyleri uygun test yöntemleri ile değerlendirir. Elde edilen bulguları yorumlar ve sonuçlarını raporlar.
- Vestibüler ve/veya denge problemi olan bireylere uygun rehabilitasyon programını belirler ve uygular. Gerekli durumlarda ek problemi olan bireyleri ilgili bölümlere yönlendirir.
- Odyoloji bilimi ile ilgili multidisipliner çalışmayı temel alır.
- Odyoloji bilimininin geliştirilmesinde, yeni yöntemlerin ve programların geliştirilmesinde aktif rol alır.
Odyologlar başlıca hastanelerde, özel klinik ve rehabilitasyon merkezlerinde, üniversitelerde, özel eğitim kurumlarında ve devlet bünyesinde olmak üzere geniş çalışma alanlarına sahip bulunmaktadırlar.

| Description | Conducts behavioral, electroacoustic and / or electrophysiological methods to determine the dysfunction of the individuals auditory and balance systems and reports interpretations and results of the findings obtained.Applies and monitors newborn, pre-school and school aged children hearing screening programs.Makes noise level measurements in noisy environments, takes precautions to protect the hearing health of living/ working people in these settings, and applies appropriate rehabilitation programs when necessary.Evaluates individuals with hearing loss in terms of hearing aids and other hearing aids, selects appropriate devices, adjusts, and applies it to the individual.Evaluates individuals with hearing loss in terms of cochlear implant, programs the implant after operation and applies the audiological rehabilitation program with the aim of ensuring the individuals compliance with the device.Gives advices on the care, use and adjustment of devices for the individual/ family using hearing aids, cochlear implants and / or other hearing aid devices; controls and supervises the environmental regulations that facilitate the development of recipient and expressive language skills.Makes the evaluation of children and adults with auditory processing disorder.
