He/She has a basic level of theoretical and practical knowledge about the field of optician. He / she has the knowledge of accessing, evaluating and applying basic level knowledge about optician field. He/She has knowledge about the ethical principles and rules related to the field of optician. He/She uses basic level theoretical and practical knowledge related to the field of optician. He / she interprets and evaluates the data by using the basic knowledge and skills acquired in the field of opticianry, identifies the problems, analyzes and takes part / takes responsibility in the studies planned for the solution. He/She uses computer software, information and communication technologies at the basic level required by the field of optician. He/She performs a given task independently by using the basic knowledge about opticiany. He/She works as a team member to solve unforeseen complex problems encountered in applications related to optician field. He / she takes part as an entrepreneur in the field of opticianry, as an entrepreneur who has the ability to work as an interdisciplinary team.He/She evaluates the basic knowledge and skills acquired in the field of opticianry with a critical approach. He/She determines the learning requirements in optician field and follows the current developments in the profession and directs their learning to the conscious of self-improvement. He/She improves self-awareness in the field of opticianry in lifelong learning. He / she informs the related people and institutions by using the technological knowledge and skills he / she has in the field of opticianry and conveys his thoughts and suggestions for solutions to the problems in written and orally. He / she shares his / her ideas and solution suggestions on problems related to optics with experts and non-experts. He/She contributes to projects and activities for the social environment in which he lives with a sense of social responsibility in the field of optician. He/She is sensitive to the events on the agenda of the society and the world about the field of optician and monitors the developments. He/She contributes to social, scientific, cultural and ethical values in the stages of gathering, interpreting, applying and announcing the results in the studies related to the field of opticianry. He / she has sufficient awareness about individual and public health, environmental protection and occupational safety. He/She has experience in working with other health disciplines as required by optician.

One midterm and a final exam

Opticianry Program; T. C. Students who take the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT) as a result of the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) conducted by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) take their students.

Students who graduated from this program; They can open and operate opticianry, or they can operate as a responsible manager in Optical stores. Will be able to perform technics in optical stores and optical lens manufacturing companies, will be able to make spectroscopy measurements of spectacles in technicians and ophthalmologists in ophthalmology clinics
