| İlerleme Yolları (İlişki Türü) | Otomotiv Teknikerleri, ana ve yan sanayi otomotiv fabrikalarının hemen hemen tüm kademelerinde tekniker karşılığı sayılabilecek unvan ve sorumluluklarda görev almaktadır. Fakat üretim ve montaj hatlarında otomotiv teknikerlerin sayıca yoğun olarak bulundukları ve üretim çalışmalarında etkin rol oynadıkları, mühendis, planlamacı ve yöneticilerle işçiler arasında iletişim ve irtibatı sağladıkları, kalite çemberlerinde ekip lideri olarak görev aldıkları, eğitim çalışmalarında alt kademelerdeki personelin işbaşı eğitimlerinde eğitmen olarak sorumluluk aldıkları görülmektedir. Otomotiv sektörünün üretim kadar önem arz eden bir başka kısmı ise satış sonrası hizmet birimleri olarak adlandırabileceğimiz servisler ve satış noktaları ve eğitim merkezleridir.
