| Ölçme ve Değerlendirme Yöntemleri | Özel Hukuk Tezli Yüksek Lisans programındaki derslere ait değerlendirme kıstasları ilgili öğretim elemanı tarafından yarıyılın başında öğrencilere duyurulur. | Further Info | Profile of the Programme: LLM Program in Private Law with Thesis is made up of courses that dwell on contemporary issues of law in the fields of Labour and Social Security Law, Civil Law, Law of Civil Procedure, International Private Law, Commercial Law. Students complete their course requirements by taking two compulsory and five elective courses from these branches. Graduation from the program calls for the successful defending of the thesis under the supervision of the academic advisor following the completion of the course period.
The evaluation criteria of the courses of the LLM program in Private Law with Thesis are announced to the students by the faculty members at the beginning of each semester. In each course, at least one mid-term assessment in the form of a written examination, project work, assignment or oral presentation and a minimum of one semester-end assessment is administered. The course grades to be assigned to the students at the end of each semester are determined by the relevant faculty members by considering with attendance, course work during the semester, mid-term examinations, final examinations at the end of each semester, seminar assignments and project work. Examinations are graded over a scale of 100 points. The passing grade is 70. The students must retake the courses that they have failed within the time frame allowed to complete the LLM program or take other courses accepted by the Department of the Graduate School as equivalent to the elective courses.

Students who have successfully completed at least one semester at a LLM program with thesis at a university or another higher education institution may be admitted to the LLM program in Private Law with Thesis by means of a lateral transfer with the proposal of the Department of the Graduate School and the decision of the administrative board of the related graduate school, provided that they apply within the given time period. It is separately specified in this decision, which course requirements in the program that he/she has been admitted to he/she will be exempt from and how many semesters he/she has completed. In order for applications to be accepted, there needs to be an available quota for admission to the related Department of the Graduate School and the student(s) need to have met the admission requirements upon acceptance to the university they come from or at the time of the lateral transfer application. The necessary conditions for special studentship, lateral transfer, or course substitution from a previously registered graduate program and exemption from one or more courses are determined by the board of the related graduate school upon the proposal of the Department of the Graduate School.
The LLM degree in Private Law bestowed following the successful completion of the program makes the receiver eligible to apply for the Ph.D programs in Private Law. In addition, application to the Ph.D programs in Private Law at Çankaya University Faculty of Law and Graduate School of Social Sciences is also possible.
