Parazitoloji alanında doktora eğitimine başvurabilmek için Veteriner Fakültesi mezunu olmak ve dolayısıyla yüksek lisans derecesine sahip olmak gerekmektedir. Doktora derecesi elde edebilmek için öğrencilerin programda alması gereken ortak ve alan zorunlu derslerin tümünü başarı ile tamamlamak, her bir dersten 100 üzerinden en az 75 alınması gerekmektedir.
- Yüksek Lisans programına başvurabilmek için adayların bir lisans diplomasına; doktora programına başvurabilmek için bir lisans veya yüksek lisans diplomasına sahip olmaları gerekir. Hazırlık sınıfları hariç en az 10 yarı yıl süreli Tıp ve Veteriner Fakülteleri mezunları doktora programına başvurabilirler. Bu adayların lisans not ortalamasının 100 üzerinden en az 65 olması gerekir.
- Yüksek lisans için Öğrenci Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi (ÖSYM) tarafından merkezi olarak yapılan Lisansüstü Eğitimi Giriş Sınavından (LES) başvurduğu programın puan türünden en az 45; doktora programı için; yüksek lisans diplomasına sahip veya hazırlık sınıfları hariç en az 10 yarıyıl süreli Tıp ve Veteriner Fakülteleri diplomalarına sahip adayların Lisansüstü Eğitimi Giriş Sınavından (LES) başvurduğu programın puan türünden en az 45; lisans diploması ile doktora programına başvuran adayların başvurduğu programın puan türünden LES sınavından en az 55 standart puan almış olması.
- Kırıkkale Üniversitesi Yabancı Diller Merkezi (KÜYADİM) tarafından yapılan yabancı dil sınavı puanının yüksek lisans programı ve doktora programı için 100 üzerinden en az 50 olması (KPDS-TOFEL-ÜDS ve benzeri ulusal ve uluslar arası geçerliliği olan dil sınavı belgeleri Enstitü Yönetim Kurulu tarafından değerlendirilerek eşdeğer sayılabilir).
- Programlara öğrenci kabulunda LES puanı, lisans ve/veya yüksek lisans mezuniyet notu ve mülakat sonucu değerlendirilir. Bu değerlendirme yüzdeleri yüksek lisans programı için sırasıyla %50, %20 ve %30, doktora programı için %60, %10 ve %30’dur. Bu sonuç dikkate alınarak yüksek lisans için en az 55, doktora için ise en az 60 alanlar arasında en yüksek olandan başlayarak sıralama yapılır.
- Kırıkkale Üniversitesinde Yüksek Lisans programı için toplam 21 krediden az olmamak üzere en az yedi ders, bir seminer çalışması, tez çalışmasından oluşur. Doktora programı için, toplam 21 krediden az olmamak üzere en az yedi ders, seminer çalışması, diğer öğrenim etkinlikleri, yeterlilik sınavı, tez önerisi ve tez çalışmasından oluşur. Dört yıllık Lisans derecesi ile kabul edilmiş öğrenciler için en az 42 kredilik 14 ders, seminer çalışması, diğer öğrenim etkinlikleri, yeterlilik sınavı, tez önerisi ve tez çalışmasından oluşur.
K.Ü. Veteriner Fakültesi Parazitoloji Anabilim Dalın’dan doktorasını bitiren mezunlar, özel laboratuarlarda parazitolojik araştırmaları yapabilecek ve laboratuvar analiz sonuçlarını yorumlayabilecek kapasitedede olup buralarda uzman olarak çalışabilmektedirler.
