Tezi şekil yönünden uygun bulunan yüksek lisans öğrencisinin mezuniyetine EYK’nca karar verilir. Yazım kurallarına uymayan tez, öğrenciye iade edilerek tekrar yazılması için Enstitü Müdürlüğünce bir aya kadar ek süre tanınır. Düzeltmeler sonucunda tezi uygun görülen öğrenci, mezuniyete hak kazanır. | |

- Öğrenci özellikle çiftlik ve pet hayvanlarının enfeksiyöz ya da enfeksiyöz olmayan hastalıklarda organ ve dokularında şekillenen lezyonları ve patolojik mekanizmasını öğrenecektir.
- Öğrenciler teorik bilgilerini uygulama bilgileri ile bütünleştirecektir.
- Öğrenciler çeşitli tanı metodlarını teorik olarak öğrenip uygulayacaklardır.
- Öğrenciler hastalıklarda şekillenen makroskobik ve mikroskobik bulguları klinik bulgular ile karşılaştırmalı olarak değerlendirerek inceleyeceklerdir.
- Öğrenciler hastalıkları etiyolojik temelde (bakteriyel, viral, paraziter, mikotik, metabolik vb.) öğrenecektir.
- Öğrenciler tanı ve ayırıcı tanı amacı ile nekropsi ve patolojik değerlendirme yapabilecektir.
- Öğrenciler aldıkları temel patoloji bilgisi temeli ile farklı disiplinleri kavrayabilecektir.
- Öğrenciler veteriner patoloji bilgisini uygulamada kullanırken tüm bilimsel değerler yanında profesyonel etik kurallarını göz önünde bulundurur.
- Öğrenciler veteriner bilimine ilişkin tüm alanlarla ve uygulamaları ile ilişkili olacaktır.
- Öğrenciler aldıkları makroskobik teşhis bilgisi ile özellikle zoonoz karakterdeki hastalıkları tanımlayarak şüpheli durumlarda halk sağlığını korumaya yönelik önlemleri alır ya da bu önlemleri alması gereken birimler ile uyumlu şekilde çalışır.
