- Alanıyla ilgili temel düzeydeki bilgi ve becerileri kullanıp verileri yorumlar değerlendirir ve olası sorunları tanımlayıp çözümler sağlık kurumları bünyesindeki patoloji laboratuvarlarının, cihaz ve materyal özelliklerini, işletiş ve organizasyonunu tanımlar.
- Arşiv, depo, laboratuvar güvenliği konusunda yeterli bilgiye sahip olur.
- Gelişen teknolojiye bağlı olarak değişen teknikleri ve yöntemleri uygular, yeni cihazları kullanır.
- Aldıkları eğitim-öğretim doğrultusunda patoloji laboratuvarı sorumlu doktoru ve diğer sağlık personeli ile koordinasyon sağlar.
- Sağlık kurumları bünyesindeki patoloji laboratuvarlarında ilgili araç, cihaz ve teknikleri kullanıp patoloğun denetiminde makroskopi ve histoteknoloji ile ilgili bütün rutin ve özel işlemleri yürütür.
- Meslektaşları ve diğer sağlık çalışanları ile etkin bir iletişim kurar.
- Sağlık kurumları bünyesindeki patoloji laboratuvarlarında kullanılan bütün temel ve özel kimyasal solüsyon ve boyaları hazırlar.
- Bir yabancı dili en az Avrupa Dil Portföyü A2 Genel Düzeyinde kullanarak alanındaki bilgileri izler ve meslektaşları ile iletişim kurar.
