- Peyzaj mimarlığının temel ilkeleri ve araçları konusunda yeterli altyapıya sahip olmak.
- Doğal ve kültürel çevreleri yorumlamak, korumak, kullanmak ve yönetmek için, peyzajı oluşturan doğal öğeler hakkında temel bilgi sahibi olmak.
- Peyzaj planlama, peyzaj tasarımı, peyzaj onarımı ve bakımı alanlarında sürdürülebilirlik ilkesi doğrultusunda bilim, sanat ve teknolojiyi kullanabilme ve yorumlayabilme bilgisine sahip olmak.
- Peyzaj mimarlığında kullanılan yapısal ve bitkisel materyal ve bunların kullanımı konusunda gerekli bilgiye sahip olmak ve uygulayabilmek.
- Peyzaj tasarımı ve bakımı çalışmalarında edinilen bilgileri uygulamak.
- Doğal ve kültürel peyzaja ilişkin verileri değerlendirme ve yorumlayabilme, mevcut sorunları tanımlayabilme, analiz edebilme, sorunlara yönelik ekoloji temelli planlama, düzenleme, geliştirme ve koruma yöntem ve teknikleri geliştirebilmek.
- Yaratıcılık potansiyelini geliştirebilme ve bu potansiyeli kullanabilmek.
- Düşüncelerini çizim, grafik ve maketle ifade edebilmek.
- Peyzaj tasarım çalışmalarında üç boyutlu düşünebilmek ve analitik düşünebilme becerisi göstermek.
- Ekolojik, ekonomik, estetik, işlevsel ölçütlere uygun olarak tasarım çalışmaları yapabilmek.
- Edindiği teorik bilgileri peyzaj tasarım çalışmalarına aktarabilme ve uygun yapısal ve bitkisel materyali kullanarak farklı amaçlara sahip peyzaj projeleri üretip uygulayabilmek.

To have basic knowledge about natural elements making up the landscape in order to interpret, protect, use and manage natural environments. To have the knowledge to use and interpret arts and technology in line with sustainability principles regarding landscape planning, landscape design, landscape restoration and maintenance. To have the necessary knowledge about structural and plantal materials and their use and to be able to apply those in landscape architecture. To apply the information acquired from landscape design and maintenance studies. To be able to evaluate and interpret data related to natural and cultural landscaping, to identify and analyze existing problems, ecology-based planning, editing and development towards issues and being able to develop protection methods and techniques. To be able to develop creativity potential and to use this potential. To be able to express thoughts with drawings, graphics and models. To be able to think three-dimensional in landscape design studies and to show analytical thinking skills. To be able to carry out design studies in accordance with ecological, economic, aesthetic and functional criteria.
