- Podoloji alanındaki uygulamaları içeren ders notları, uygulama araç-gereçleri, görsel ve nesnel kaynaklarla desteklenen temel düzeydeki kuramsal ve uygulamalı derslerden edindiği bilgileri mesleki olarak değerlendirir ve uygular.
- Podoloji uygulamasının tüm basamaklarını gerçekleştirir, hekimin müdahale etmesi gereken hastalıkları tanır ve ilgili hekime yönlendirir.
- Koruyucu ve önleyici yaklaşımlarla, ilgili disiplinlerle(Dermatoloji, Ortopedi, Nöroloji, Endokrinoloji vb.) ortak çalışır.
- Podoloji uygulamaları süresince hastanın hastalık geçmişi ve şikayetini kayıt altına alarak tedavinin takibini sağlar.
- Podoloji alanında görevli bir birey olarak görev hak ve sorumlulukları ile ilgili yasa, yönetmelik ve mevzuata uygun hareket eder, ekip çalışmasının sorumluluk bilincinde etik değerlere uyar.
- Sporcu ayak sağlığı için ortopediste ya da fizik tedavi ve rehabilitasyon uzmanına yardımcı olarak ayakta oluşabilecek sorunları korumaya yardımcı olur.
- Diyabetik ayak sendromunun oluşum mekanizmalarını, tedavisindeki multidisipliner yaklaşımları bilir ve tedavi süreci için yetkilerini ilgili hekimle birlikte yerine getirir.
- Tırnak deformasyonları ve buna bağlı komplikasyonları düzeltir, müdahale eder ve tedavi süresince hastayı takip eder.
- Podoloji uygulamalarında kullanılan cihaz, alet ve ekipmanın kontrolü, korunması, bakımı, dezenfeksiyonunu, sterilizasyonunu ve kullanımını gerçekleştirir.
- Podoloji kliniği açabilmek için gerekli olan alan, güvenlik, ekipmanlar, işletme bilgisi ve yazılı materyal hakkında bilgi sahibi olur.
- Mantarlı bölgelerde dermatolog teşhisi sonrası işbirliği içerisinde mekanik temizliği yapar.
- Gerek görülen tedaviyi destekleyici durumlarda tırnakta onikoplasti uygulamaları yapar ve parmak/ayak deformasyonlarında silikon ortez desteğiyle tedaviye yardımcı olur.
- Nasırlı bölgelerdeki ölü dokuları uygun yöntemle temizleyip, baskı ve sürtünme önleyici yardımcı destek malzemeleriyle tedaviyi destekler.
- Yaşlı ve/veya yatalak hastaların ayak bakımlarıyla ilgili sorunlulukları yerine getirir.
- Gerekli görülen durumlarda özel tabanlık kullanımı için ilgili kişiye yönlendirir.

| Description | Evaluate and apply the knowledge gained from theoretical and practical courses supported by course notes, application tools, visual sources and realia. Perform all steps of podology practice, recognize the diseases that the physician needs to intervene and direct these diseases to related physician. Work collaboratively with the related disciplines (dermatology, orthopedics, neurology, endocrinology, etc.) by using protective and preventive approaches. Provide the follow-up of treatment by recording the patients medical history and complaints during the application. As an individual working in the field of podology, act in accordance with the laws, and regulations related to the rights and responsibilities of their duties and complies with ethical values in the awareness of the responsibility of teamwork. Help to prevent the problems that may arise because of standing by helping the orthopedist or physical therapy and rehabilitation specialist for foot health. Know the mechanisms of formation of diabetic foot syndrome, multidisciplinary approaches in its treatment and fulfill their duties for the treatment process. Correct nail deformations and related complications, intervenes and follows the patient during treatment. Perform control, protection, maintenance, disinfection, sterilization and use of devices, tools and equipment used in podology applications. Gain knowledge about the area, safety, equipment, operation and written material necessary to open podology clinic. Perform mechanical cleaning on the areas with mycetes in cooperation with the diagnosis of dermatologist. Apply onicoplasty on the fingernail in supportive cases required treatment and provide treatment with the support of silicone orthosis in finger/foot deformations. Clean infarct in calloused areas with the appropriate method and supports treatment with anti-pressure and anti-friction auxiliary support materials. Perform their responsibilities related to the foot care of elderly and/or bedridden patients. If necessary, direct the patient to the person concerned for the use of special insoles. | |
