- Orta öğretimde kazanmış olduğu mesleki yeterlilikler üzerine uygulama ile desteklenen bir alanda bilgi/beceriye sahip olabilmeli,
- Raylı Sistemler İşletmeciliği ile ilgili edindiği kuramsal bilgilerini kullanabilmeli ,
- Raylı Sistemler İşletmeciliği ile ilgili edindiği uygulama bilgilerini kullanabilmeli,
- Raylı Sistemler İşletmeciliği ile ilgili tanımı iyi yapılmış problemlerin çözümü için veri toplayabilmeli ve kullanabilmeli ,
- Raylı Sistemler İşletmeciliği ile ilgili pratik uygulamalarda gereken teorik bilgileri, el becerilerini ve/veya düşünsel becerileri kullanabilmeli,
- Raylı Sistemler İşletmeciliğinin gerektirdiği düzeyde bilgisayar yazılımı ve bilişim-iletişim teknolojilerini kullanabilmeli ,
- Raylı Sistemler İşletmeciliği teknolojisinde yeterli olacak düzeyde yabancı dil bilgisine sahip olabilmeli ,

- Ara sınav ve yarıyıl/yıl sonu sınav sonuçları 100 tam puan üzerinden değerlendirilir. Ham başarı notu; ara sınav not ortalamasının % 40’ı ile yarıyıl veya yıl sonu sınav notunun % 60’ının toplanması sonucu elde edilir. Başarı notu değerlendirmesi, öğrencinin yarıyıl içi çalışmalarında gösterdiği başarı düzeyi, ham başarı notu ile birlikte sınıfın genel başarı düzeyi de göz önünde bulundurularak, notların dağılımı ve sınıf ortalaması da dikkate alınarak yapılır.
- Bu değerlendirme sonunda, her öğrenciye dersi veren öğretim elemanı tarafından harf notu olarak yarıyıl sonu veya yıl sonu başarı notu verilir. Öğrencinin programdaki tüm derslerini başarmış olması, FF, FD ya da YS notunun olmaması gerekir. Bu programda öğrencinin asgari 120 ECTS kredisini sağlaması ve genel not ortalamasının 4,00 üzerinden en az 2,00 olması gerekmektedir.
- Lise ve dengi okullardan mezun olup, YKS sınavından yeterli puanı alan öğrenciler başvurabilirler.
- Öğrenciler TYT puanına göre yerleşmektedirler.
- Ülkemizde demir yollarına giderek daha fazla önem verilmektedir son yıllarda özellikle büyük şehirlerde belediyelerin işletmesinde bulunan hafif raylı sistemler ve tramvay toplu taşıma hizmetleri sürekli olarak gelişme göstermekte ve bu alanda ciddi yatırımlar yapılmaktadır.
- Nitelikli bir Raylı Sistemler İşletme Teknikeri, özellikle lojistik firmalarda iş bulabilir. Bu alanda kendini yetiştirmiş elemanlara ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır.
