Assessment and evaluation methods for each course are defined in the course descriptions prepared by the related faculty members. In addition, each semester, at least one midterm and one final exam is applied in each course opened in the program. However, a jury-committee exam is held in one field course each semester. The relevant articles of Artvin Coruh University Associate Degree (Vocational Training), Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations are applied for exams and course success grades. This program accepts students according to the university entrance exam results organized by the to the process established by the OSYM (Student Selection and Placement Centre) regulations. A student who has started to study in an equivalent program at home or abroad can apply for transfer. The acceptance of the students is examined and evaluated privately before the beginning of the semestern and the conditions of each student and the degree to which they apply are taken into consideration. Students coming from abroad within the scope of student exchange programs approved by the university and determined by an agreement, can take the courses given in English in the so-called department. Besides, if the students have Turkish language proficiency, tthey can also register for the Turkish courses specified in the program.

Individuals who have graduated from Guidance and Psychological Counseling Undergraduate Program can work as psychological counselors (guidance teachers) in official education institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education; in guidance and research centers (RAM), preschool, primary school, secondary school, high school, special education vocational education centers and public education centers. Besides they can be employed as psychological counselors (guidance teachers) in private education institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education; private schools, kindergartens, special education institutions, special education and rehabilitation centers. In addition, they can work in the psychological counseling and guidance centers of universities and in the Family Social Support Program (ASDEP) units within the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services. Moreover, they can be employed in the Ministry of Justice, prison, juvenile correctional house, probation department, family and juvenile courts, Turkish Armed Forces and human resources departments of enterprises.

Qualification is continuous
