Have scientific and anlytical thinking skills. Know research methods and and techniques. Conduct studies in primary education in the framework of life long learning. Have adquate knowledge in contemporary learning and teaching theories and approaches. Acquire skills and knowledge in accessing research resources and rewieving research literature in primary education.

Each student must attend the courses, applied studies, laboratories, projects, seminars and other studies of the semester s/he is enrolled for. Students who have not attended at least 30% of theoretical courses and 20% of applied and laboratory studies are not allowed to take the final exam of those courses. Once the student fulfilles the attendance requirements in theoretical courses, no attendance is required if the course is repeated later.The Mid-term and Final Examinations are generally in written form. However, the instructor of the course may decide to conduct the exam in the form of an oral exam, project or assignment on condition that s/he states it on the course information form (syllabus). Examinations are arranged and conducted by the instructors teaching the courses. Make-up exam is given to students with certified excuses accepted by the relevant executive board within three days after the final examinations are over.A course final grade calculation, with 40% of midterm exams 60% calculate the final exam is determined. To be successful from a course, the final exam score must be at least 70 and the total score at the end of the term must be at least 70 (CC ) which is passing grade.Elementary Teacher Education major is subject to the following graduation requirements; 1.To be succesful in the the elective and compulsory courses defined in the curriculum which is 240 ECTS. 2.To graduate from the program, GPA must be at least 2.50. 3.Studet must complete succesfuly the specialty courses, seminars, and thesis.

Students admission to doctoral programme is based on the following requirements;1. Students must have a master degree diploma2. Students must get at least 55 points (which is appropriate for the programme) from ALES or equivalent of this score from GRE or GMAT.3. Students must enter to either one of the exams names ÜDS, KPDS or YDS or equivalent of this exams IELTS or TOEFL.4. For the placement of canditates to the applied programme, students must obtain at least 60 points which is calculated by summing 50 % of ALES, 20 % of General Point Average score, 10 % of foreign language exam (ÜDS, KPDS, YDS, IELTS or TOEFL) and 20 % of verbal or written exam.

Occupational profiles of graduates includes the following features;student teachers acquire foreign language skills at the level of following resources written in foreign languages, have scientific and analytical thinking skills,know research methods and and techniques,design a research project, collect data, analyse and interpret data,student teachers acquire sufficient technical and pedagogical skills in using Information and Communications Technology for educational purposes,student teachers acquire sufficient pedagogical content knowledge in primary education; know and apply contemporary teaching, measurement and assessment methods and techniques, conduct studies in primary education in the framework of life long learning, have adquate knowledge in contemporary learning and teaching theories and approaches,acquire skills and knowledge in accessing research resources and rewieving research literature in primary education, acquire skills in finding solutions to problems faced in primary education, effectively participate in team work tasks, evaluate contemporary developments in paralel with national values and realities,implement field knowledge to interdiciplinary studies.
