The aim of the Civil Air Transport Management Program is to train management candidates who can work successfully in national and international organizations in the rapidly developing aviation sector, equipped with advanced foreign language, business administration and basic aviation knowledge.

Education and training is carried out in the form of formal education. In addition, practical training is carried out as internship training in laboratories and workplaces within the high school.

1. Gains general knowledge about the literature, legal regulations, professional standards, and practices related to the civil aviation sector.      
2. Acquires knowledge in airport management, aviation terminology, basic aircraft information and flight safety, as well as ground and passenger services.
3. Uses, analyzes, and ensures the uninterrupted execution of aviation operations by applying theoretical and practical knowledge of airline transportation within the framework of business management solutions.          
4. Understands the importance of aviation safety and security, and becomes proficient in the documents and forms used to ensure flight safety and security.
5. Gains knowledge about the fundamental procedures required in the field of civil air transportation management and necessary for an employee in the aviation sector.
6. Learns fundamental topics in business, economics, statistics, logistics, management, and organization.                                                       
7. Develops strategic decision-making skills by using analytical thinking to foresee possible outcomes and make accurate predictions.                                   
8. Attains a basic level of knowledge about law, legal concepts, aviation law, and regulations.                                              
9. Gains the necessary knowledge to initiate, sustain, and propose research-based solutions for projects. 
10.  Acquires a culture of information and communication systems and effectively uses the information technologies required by the field.                     
11. Communicates knowledge and ideas accurately and effectively, using written and verbal communication techniques that others can understand.
12. Uses at least one foreign language fluently, at a level sufficient to follow fundamental knowledge in the field and communicate with stakeholders.   
13. Becomes a professional equipped with social responsibility and ethical awareness, willing to participate in teamwork and capable of working with leadership skills.                                                                                                               
14. Recognizes companies where they can work and professions they can pursue. Applies the knowledge gained from theoretical and practical courses and internship experiences comfortably in the sector.

According to the relative evaluation system, a student's success grade in a course is determined according to the success level of the class by evaluating the success level of the semester studies for that course and the grade he received in the final or make-up exam. This evaluation, which will be referred to as relative evaluation, is made by the instructor teaching the course, taking into account the statistical distribution of grades and the class average. At the end of the relative evaluation, each student is given a grade of success, expressed in letters indicating the degree of success, by the instructor teaching the course. The degrees of success and coefficients expressed by the success grades are shown in the table below.

A student who receives one of the AA, BA, BB, CB, CC, DC, DD grades from a course is deemed to have succeeded that course.

Moreover; Y (Unsatisfactory), B (Pass), M (Exempt) grades are grades that are not included in the average, and D (Absentee), E (Incomplete) grades are temporary grades;

a) D grade is given to students who do not have the right to take the exam because they do not fulfill their attendance obligations or conditions regarding course practices, and is treated as (FF) grade in the grade point average calculation.

b) Grade B is given to students who are successful in courses that are not included in their grade point average.

c) Y grade is given to students who fail to succeed in courses that are not included in their grade point average.

To oversee the quality of higher education programs;

• YÖK is responsible for the planning, organization, management and supervision of education and training and other activities carried out in higher education institutions.
• “University Monitoring and Evaluation Reports” of higher education institutions prepared annually within the framework of the criteria determined by YÖK are published. The reports prepared according to these reports, including quantitative and qualitative evaluations of higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK.
• Every year, YÖK publishes the “Foundation Higher Education Institutions Report”, which includes academic, administrative and financial data on foundation higher education institutions. These reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of foundation higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK.

Quality assurance of undergraduate programs in higher education is ensured according to the “Procedures and Principles for Ensuring Quality Assurance of Higher Education Diploma Programs”:

1. Creation and Approval of Curricula:

1.1. YÖK determines the minimum standards and criteria required for the opening of undergraduate departments and programs in higher education institutions.

1.2. The curriculum of undergraduate programs in higher education institutions and the learning outcomes that each program will provide to the student are determined by the senates of higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

1.3. The curricula of the National Core Curricula are approved by the relevant Council of Deans and implemented by higher education institutions with the approval of the Council of Higher Education.

2. Measurement and Evaluation: The measurement and evaluation of the learning outcomes of each undergraduate program is carried out according to the education and training and examination regulations prepared by higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

3. Certification: Students enrolled in undergraduate programs, if they successfully complete the course credits and other obligations determined by higher education institutions; receive an undergraduate diploma.

4.Self-Assessment-External Evaluation: Higher education institutions, in the context of continuous monitoring, enter the “Institutional Internal Evaluation Reports” of the previous year into the Information System prepared by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) at the beginning of each year. YÖKAK shares the “Institutional Feedback Report” prepared for the external evaluation of higher education institutions with the public. In addition, accreditation decisions issued by accreditation bodies authorized or recognized by YÖKAK also indicate that the quality assurance of the qualifications of the programs is ensured. YÖKAK conducts regular review activities regarding the qualifications determined in accordance with the legislation.

Students are placed with the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT) conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).
