- Sivil Savunma ve İtfaiyecilik temel kanun ve yönetmeliklerinin ilkelerini öğrenip karşılaşacakları problemlerin çözümünde kullanabilme,
- Sivil Savunma ve İtfaiyecilikte tehlikeli kimyasal maddeler hakkında bilgi sahibi olup, gerekli olan algılama cihazlarını kullanabilmek ve bu maddelerin yangınına uygun söndürücü ile müdahale edebilme,
- Bireysel ve grup olarak ve çok disiplinli takımlarda etkin çalışabilme becerisi, sorumluluk alma özgüveni,
- Bilgiye erişebilme ve bu amaçla kaynak araştırması yapabilme, veri tabanları ve diğer bilgi kaynaklarını kullanabilme becerisi,

- Her ders için ara sınav ve yarıyıl sonu sınavına tabi tutulurlar. Başarı notuna, ara sınavın katkısı %40, yarıyıl sonu sınavının katkısı %60 şeklindedir. Tüm sınavlar 100 puan üzerinden değerlendirilir. Yarıyıl sonu sınavından en az 45 puan alma zorunluluğu vardır. Bir dersten AA, BA, BB, CB ve CC harf notlarından birini alan öğrenciler o dersi başarmış sayılır.

- Acil Durum Müdürlüklerinde, Arama ve Kurtarma teknikeri, Sivil savunma Arama Kurtarma Birlik Müdürlüklerinde Arama Kurtarma Teknikeri, Otellerde Yangın Güvenlik elemanı, İtfaiye ve yangın Güvenliği ile ilgili Cihaz Satışı ve Malzeme üretim firmalarında, Organize Sanayi ve Endüstriyel Kuruluşların Yangın Güvenlik elamanı, İş güvenliği ve İşçi Sağlığı teknikeri olarak istihdam edilmektedirler.
- Program mezunlarının kamu sektöründe çalışabilecekleri alanlar olarak; büyükşehir belediyeleri itfaiye dairesi başkanlıkları ve belediye itfaiye müdürlüklerinde “itfaiye eri” olarak, çeşitli kamu kurumlarında “itfaiyeci” olarak, Devlet Hava Meydanları İşletmeleri’nde “ARFF memuru” olarak ve yine bazı kurumlarda “itfaiye teknikeri” olarak istihdam edilmektedir.

Having knowledge about dangerous chemicals in Civil Defense and Firefighting, being able to use the necessary detection devices and responding to the fire of these substances with an appropriate extinguisher.
