To raise individuals who are aware of local, national and global problems in the social, political and administrative fields; who can propose different, permanent and alternative solutions to these problems; who are equipped with the qualities sought by the public sector, non-governmental organizations, political institutions and the market; and who have an ethical understanding.

• Gains theoretical knowledge and equipment in the fields of management science, political science, sociology, legal sciences, urbanization and environmental problems.
• Follows the innovations that emerge in the fields of theory and practice, especially in public administration, law, politics, sociology, urbanization and environmental problems at national and international levels.
• Gains the ability to look at problems and facts from various perspectives, produce solution proposals, and prepare draft policies, programs and decisions by using the theoretical knowledge and analysis techniques he/she has gained.
• Becomes competent in both public law legislation and private law legislation, follows the changes in legislation, interprets legislation and puts it into practice.
• Has the potential and skills to develop himself/herself in public administration fields such as district governorship, administrative judicial judgeship, inspectorship, auditing, controllership and expert assistantship.

Different methods such as homework, projects, applications, midterm exams and final exams are used in measurement and evaluation. This section is explained in the course introduction and application form of the relevant course. Please see the Course Structure for details. Letter and/or number-based grading systems are used in the evaluation of student success.

Exam Types

• Semester/year measurement activities for a course; midterm exam, quiz, homework, oral exam,
• project/design, performance task (application, laboratory, workshop, seminar, field work), work
• It consists of health and safety examination (OHS) activities.

Number of Measurements and Ratios

• One course, excluding courses evaluated as Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory at the end of the semester/year

In order to monitor the quality of higher education programs;

• YÖK is responsible for the planning, organization, management and supervision of education, training and other activities carried out in higher education institutions.

• "University Monitoring and Evaluation Reports" of higher education institutions, prepared every year within the framework of the criteria determined by YÖK, are published. Reports prepared according to these reports, containing quantitative and qualitative evaluations for higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK.

• Every year, YÖK publishes the "Foundation Higher Education Institutions Report", which includes academic, administrative and financial data of foundation higher education institutions. These reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of foundation higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK.

Quality assurance of undergraduate programs in higher education is provided according to the "Procedures and Principles for Providing Quality Assurance of Higher Education Diploma Programs":

1. Creation and Approval of Curriculum:

1.1. YÖK determines the minimum standards and criteria required for the opening of undergraduate departments and programs in higher education institutions.

1.2. The curriculum of undergraduate programs in higher education institutions and the learning outcomes that each program will bring to the student are determined by the senates of higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

1.3. The curriculum of National Core Education Programs is implemented by higher education institutions with the approval of YÖK after being accepted by the relevant Deans Council.

2. Measurement-Evaluation: How to measure and evaluate the learning outcomes that each undergraduate program will provide to the student is carried out in accordance with the education, training and examination regulations prepared by higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

3. Certification: Students enrolled in undergraduate programs, if they successfully complete the course credits and other obligations determined by higher education institutions; receives a bachelor's degree.

4. Self-Evaluation-External Evaluation: In the context of continuous monitoring, higher education institutions enter the "Institution Internal Evaluation Reports" of the previous year into the Information System prepared by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) at the beginning of each year. The "Institutional Feedback Report" prepared by YÖKAK regarding the external evaluation of higher education institutions is shared with the public. In addition, accreditation decisions made by accreditation bodies authorized or recognized by YÖKAK also show that the quality assurance of the qualifications of the programs is ensured. It carries out regular review activities regarding the qualifications determined in accordance with the YÖKAK legislation.

3. A student who has started his/her education in an equivalent program in Turkey or abroad can apply for horizontal transfer. The acceptance of students is examined and evaluated individually before the beginning of the term, considering the conditions of each student and the degree he/she applied for.

1. For graduates of the department who take courses related to social sciences such as management, social science, politics, law, urbanization and economics, there are wide employment opportunities in various levels of public bureaucracy, especially in district governorships and administrative courts. The education students receive is also suitable for working in the private sector.

2. Students who successfully complete the program can apply for master's and doctoral degrees in the fields of Public Administration, Political Science, Management Sciences or other branches of science that accept students from these fields.
