The educational aim of the History Program is to train graduates who have the ability to examine historical events that have affected humans as a social entity since ancient times, together with facts such as politics, economy, culture and art, who are familiar with the source documents and research methods that give history the quality of a science, and who have the ability to analyze past events.

Students whose Weighted Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is below 2.00 for 2 consecutive semesters cannot take courses in the following semester. Students who receive one of the following grades from a course: AA, BA, BB, CB, CC, DC are considered to have passed that course. A DD grade from a course is evaluated based on the student's graduation CGPA. If the student's CGPA is above the success threshold (2.00), these courses are defined as successful. In the interim semesters/years, these letter grades are evaluated with their coefficients in the CGPA calculation. Students who receive an FF grade are unsuccessful and must fulfill the attendance and exam requirements by taking this course in the first semester/year it is offered. As stated in the Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University Education-Training and Exam Regulation, students must be successful in all their courses.

In order to monitor the quality of higher education programs;

• YÖK is responsible for planning, organizing, managing and supervising education and training and other activities in higher education institutions.

• “University Monitoring and Evaluation Reports” of higher education institutions prepared within the framework of criteria determined by YÖK are published every year. Reports prepared according to these reports, including quantitative and qualitative evaluations of higher education institutions, are also shared with the public by YÖK.

The “Foundation Higher Education Institutions Report”, which includes academic, administrative and financial data on foundation higher education institutions, is published annually by the Council of Higher Education. These reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of foundation higher education institutions, are shared with the public by the Council of Higher Education. The quality assurance of undergraduate programs in higher education is provided according to the “Procedures and Principles for Providing Quality Assurance of Higher Education Diploma Programs”:

1. Creation and Approval of Curriculum: The Council of Higher Education determines the minimum standards and criteria required for opening undergraduate departments and programs in higher education institutions.

1.1. The curriculum of undergraduate programs in higher education institutions and the learning outcomes that each program will provide to students are determined by the senates of higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by the Council of Higher Education.

1.2. The curriculum of the National Core Education Programs is implemented by higher education institutions with the approval of the Council of Higher Education after being approved by the relevant Deans Council.

2. Measurement-Evaluation: How to measure and evaluate the learning outcomes that each undergraduate program will provide to the student is carried out in accordance with the teaching and examination regulations prepared by higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

3. Documentation: Students enrolled in undergraduate programs receive a bachelor's degree if they successfully complete the course credits and other obligations determined by higher education institutions.

4. Self-Assessment-External Evaluation: In the context of continuous monitoring, higher education institutions enter the “Internal Institutional Evaluation Reports” of the previous year into the Information System prepared by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) at the beginning of each year. YÖKAK shares the “Institutional Feedback Report” prepared for the external evaluation of higher education institutions with the public. In addition, accreditation decisions made by accreditation institutions authorized or recognized by YÖKAK also show that the quality assurance of the qualifications of the programs is provided. YÖKAK conducts regular review activities regarding the qualifications determined in accordance with its legislation.

Science, Literature, Science-Literature, Language and History-Geography Faculties Curriculum Evaluation and Accreditation Association (FEDEK)

It is necessary to be successful in YGS, LYS exams until 2017 and YKS exams in 2018, organized by ÖSYM (Starting from the 2018-2019 academic year, TYT and AYT exams are held by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) in order to select students to be admitted to higher education programs and to be placed according to their preferences. The exam is applied in accordance with the procedures and principles determined by the Higher Education Council within the scope of Article 45 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547. Entrance to undergraduate programs depends only on the score obtained from this exam. Students, according to the scores they get as a result of the exam, list the department preferences they can enter and send their preference forms to ÖSYM. ÖSYM receives all applications, groups the applications according to the score type, ranks the scores from the highest to the lowest, lists all available programs according to the preferred score type and places the students in one of the programs they prefer, taking into account the quota and program-specific conditions. The registration schedule, the documents required for registration and the principles to be followed are announced and carried out by the Student Affairs Department. The candidate student who completes the registration process becomes a student of the university and benefits from all student rights stipulated by the legislation. They can work as academicians in the fields of History and other Social Sciences in Universities (State and Private Universities) and as experts in State Archives. They can take part in various projects related to their fields. In addition, our students who receive Teaching Formation training can work as teachers in the Ministry of National Education and private organizations (Private Schools).They can also work in universities as academicians after completing their graduate studies.
