• The training program is designed to provide the basics of contemporary practices in the practice of medicine;
• Year 1 Introduction to Medical Sciences: The main concepts such as the building blocks of the cell, morphology, cycle, biological balance of the body, homeostasis, which will form the basis for understanding the normal structure and function of systems are covered. In addition, the foundations of skills training are laid, the training program for the use of computers in medical education and daily life, health protection and promotion, ethics and law concepts, visits to health institutions begin in this period.
• Year 2 Normal Structure and Function: In this phase, it is aimed to introduce the normal structure and functions of the body, integrated on a systems basis (horizontal) and related to clinical examples (vertical).
• Year 3 Introduction to Pathology and Clinical Sciences: In this year, students are expected to learn basic pathological concepts and basic pharmacology and system pathology. In this year, theoretical and practical courses, clinical and communication skills training practices are also carried out to gain anamnesis taking and physical examination skills. The main feature of this year is that pathological processes are conveyed on a systems basis, with an emphasis on clinical meaning and correlations.
• Years 4 and 5 Clinical Sciences: Internship training aims to ensure that students who have grasped basic medical knowledge with clinical correlations in the previous phases learn the necessary information in the management of priority health problems and to prepare an environment suitable for the development of problem solving, differential diagnosis and patient approach skills.
• Year 6 Internship: The main aim of the last phase of education is for students to practice medicine under supervision. They actively participate in patient care, treatment and follow-up and are evaluated on their knowledge, skills and attitudes.

• Learning takes place in the form of formal, open or distance education. In addition, practical training is carried out in laboratories and workshops within higher education institutions or as internships or workplace training in industry, health institutions and workplaces.

The graduate

Measurement and evaluation methods; exam types and their contribution to the course grade are determined by the senates of higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Different methods such as homework, project, application, midterm and final exam are used in measurement and evaluation. Systems based on letters or grades are used in the evaluation of student success.

The first three years of education are evaluated on the basis of passing the class, while the 4th, 5th and internship periods are evaluated on the basis of passing the clinical education.

The duration of education at the Faculty of Medicine is six years. Successful completion of all courses in the education program with a total of 360 ECTS credits is sufficient for graduation.

To oversee the quality of higher education programs;

YÖK is responsible for planning, organizing, managing and supervising education and training and other activities in higher education institutions.

"University Monitoring and Evaluation Reports" of higher education institutions prepared within the framework of the criteria determined by YÖK are published every year. The reports prepared according to these reports, including quantitative and qualitative evaluations of higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK.

The "Foundation Higher Education Institutions Report", which includes academic, administrative and financial data on foundation higher education institutions, is published annually by YÖK. These reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of foundation higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK. Quality assurance of undergraduate programs in higher education is ensured according to the "Procedures and Principles for Ensuring Quality Assurance of Higher Education Diploma Programs":

1. Creation and Approval of Curricula: YÖK determines the minimum standards and criteria required for the opening of undergraduate departments and programs in higher education institutions.

1.1. The curriculum of undergraduate programs in higher education institutions and the learning outcomes that each program will provide to students are determined by the senates of higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

1.2. After the curriculum of the National Core Curriculum is accepted by the relevant Council of Deans, it is implemented by higher education institutions with the approval of YÖK.

2. Assessment and Evaluation: The measurement and evaluation of the learning outcomes of each undergraduate program is carried out according to the teaching and examination regulations prepared by higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

3. Certification: Students enrolled in undergraduate programs receive an undergraduate diploma upon successful completion of course credits and other obligations determined by higher education institutions.

4. Self-Assessment-External Evaluation: Higher education institutions, in the context of continuous monitoring, enter the "Institutional Internal Evaluation Reports" of the previous year into the Information System prepared by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) at the beginning of each year. YÖKAK shares the "Institutional Feedback Report" prepared for the external evaluation of higher education institutions with the public. In addition, accreditation decisions issued by accreditation bodies authorized or recognized by YÖKAK also indicate that the quality assurance of the qualifications of the programs is ensured. YÖKAK conducts regular review activities regarding the qualifications determined in accordance with the legislation.

Registration and admission to the Faculty of Medicine requires a high school diploma and placement through a centralized university placement exam.

Graduates of the Faculty of Medicine work in various health units such as community health units and emergency services of public hospitals in primary health care with the lot organized by the Ministry of Health for two years of compulsory service.

Medical doctors who pass the Medical Specialization Examination, which is held twice a year, work as physicians in hospitals of various universities or in training and research hospitals of the Ministry of Health.
