- Tıp tarihi alanında geçmişte yapılan çalışmaları gün yüzüne çıkararak bilim tarihi ve kültür tarihi çalışmalarına katkıda bulunur.
- Biyoetik, sağlık etiği, tıp etiği ve klinik etik alanlarında ortaya çıkabilecek etik sorunların farkına varır, sorun çözme yöntemlerini tanımlar ve çözüm sunar.
- Etik kurullarda (Girişimsel Olmayan Araştırmalar, Klinik Araştırmalar, Hayvan Deneyleri) görev alarak, yapılacak çalışmalara katkıda bulunur.
- Biyoetik, biyotıp alanında etik danışmanlık verir.
- Çalışma alanı ile ilgili ulusal ve uluslararası mevzuatı takip ederek, karşılaşılan yeni sorunlar, aksayan noktalar hakkında çözüm odaklı öneriler sunarak yürütülen politikalara katkıda bulunur.
