Programın temel amacı yerel yönetimler alanında orta ve alt düzey personelin yetiştirilmesidir.
- Yönetim alanında bilgi sahibi olurlar.
- Türkiye’nin yönetim yapısını tanırlar.
- Yerel yönetimler alanındaki mevzuatları bilir ve değişiklikleri takip edebilirler.
- Yerel yönetimlerin kent yaşamının düzenlemesine ilişkin denetim yetkileri konusunda uygulamaya dönük bilgi sahibidirler.
- Türkiye’nin ve dünyanın güncel siyasi sorunlarını takip ederek yorum yapabilecek temel teorik bilgilere sahiptirler.
- Kazandığı kuramsal bilgi ile analiz tekniklerini kullanarak sorunlara ve olgulara çeşitli açılardan bakabilme, çözüm önerileri üretebilme, program ve karar taslaklarını hazırlama yeteneğine sahip olmaktadır.
- Takım çalışmasına uyumlu, inisiyatif sahibi, yenilikçi fikirlere açık ve analitik düşünebilmektedir.
- Araştırma yöntemleri hakkında temel bilgilere sahip olarak, yerel yönetimler alanında bağımsız araştırma yapma ve sunma yeteneğini kazanırlar.
- Ulusal ve uluslararası düzeyde kamu yönetimi, hukuk, siyaset, sosyoloji, kentleşme ve çevre sorunları konularında kuramsal ve uygulama alanlarında ortaya çıkan yenilikleri takip eder.
- Yaşam boyu öğrenme ilkesine uygun olarak bilişim teknolojileri, temel bilgisayar programları ve kamu yönetimi alanıyla ilgili bilgi sistemleri ile bu alandaki yenilikleri takip etme ve bunları etkili bir şekilde kullanabilme yetisi kazanır.

One mid-term exam and one final exam is taken for each course. %40 of midterm exam and %60 of final exam are calculated for evaluation of success. Students must take at least 50 in the final exam. Relative evaluation system is applied in evaluating grades. At the end of the relative evaluation, those who have grade AA, BA, BB, CB, CC are deemed successful. Students who have DC and DD grades are deemed to be successful if cumulative grade point averages are 2.00 and above. Students with FF grades fail. Students who have started their education in equivalent programs at home or abroad can apply for lateral transfer. The acceptances of students are evaluated before the term begins after examining each student’s conditions and with taking their degrees into consideration. The detailed information about acceptance to the university is available in the institution catalogue. Those students coming from abroad with student exchange programs which are approved and the limits of which are determined by the university can register for the courses given in English in the program. If the students have the Turkish language proficiency, they can register to any lesson stated in the Course Plan. | |
| Conditions for Success | In order to graduate from the program, by completing 120 ECTS students must have at least 2,00 GPA (CC) out of 4,00 and undergo training 40 working days.To graduate from this program, there isn’t any specific term end exam or proficiency exam period which should be done at the end of the academic year or after the completion of the program. In addition to this, at the end of each semester there are final exams which are generally done immediately after the closure of the term and which generally last for two weeks. Moreover, to be graduated the students should have successfully done a practical training of forty weekdays in the related public institutions. | |
