• Know the functions of the cells, tissues, organs and systems composing human body and the relationships between these systems, and basic human necessities.
• Explain the necessary principles, methods and conceptions in improving interpersonal relationships.
• Know the terms and theories that provide a basis for care.
• Know and plan the suitable nursing attempts in health care and improvement.
• Use the psychomotor skills in maintaining and developing pregnant, family, and community health in order to identify and solve the health problems and practice the care process, and know the factors effecting care.
• Identify deviations from health and plan the suitable nursing attempts and know how to use the learning and teaching process in midwifery services.
• Keep up with the advances related with midwifery and know how to conduct scientific studies that give direction to midwifery care.
• Know their functions, powers, responsibilities, how to use health policies, health ordinance and administration process in nursing services.
• Know the methods related with the production of scientific knowledge and how to use scientific problem solution methods.
• Have the necessary outfit for planning, organization, conducting, assessment and the managerial and educational activities in the coordination of midwifery service.
• Use the basic scientific knowledge related with the functions of the cells, tissues, organs and systems composing human body and the relationships between these systems in professional practices.
• Use effective communication skills in the maintenance of health, patient care and rehabilitation.
• Use the terms and theories that provide a basis for care in their practices and the learning and teaching process in midwifery services.
• Apply the midwifery care they planned in cases of health / illness in pregnant, family and society and use scientific knowledge in midwifery area.
• Use the scientific studies that give direction to midwifery care in their practices.
• Apply midwifery interventions to provide health promotion and disease prevention in mothers and their babies all through their lives and apply emergency care by developing an awareness of the social structure and values of community, and the effects of these on health in a holistic approach and act as a mentor.
• Integrate knowledge from the sciences, arts and humanities into the investigation of disease and well-being of communities in diverse settings, and the causal link in the interaction between agent, human and environment.
• Hold a positive attitude towards lifelong learning by being aware of learning needs and act in accordance with democracy, human rights, social, scientific, cultural values and professional codes of conduct.
• Contribute to the formation of health policies and take responsibility in health related practices as an effective member of the team.
• Act in accordance with their functions, powers and responsibilities and take responsibility in solving professional problems.
• Take part in projects and activities for health protection and improvement and evaluate the results of midwifery care and services.

For each course assessment and grading is described in Syllabus in details. Grades are assessed through relative assessment system. Assessment is done according to the Education and Examination Regulation of Ataturk University and Faculty of Health Sciences.Students must be successfull and/or pass all courses on the programme that are explained education and exam regulation of Ataturk University.

If candidates, who are successful completion of undergraduate degree, take valid points ALES or equivalent exams and have adequate knowledge of foreign languages, they can study in their fields or graduate programs in related fields.
